We’ve told you for a while now that the real estate market in Dallas-Fort Worth is hot, hot, hot. And now it’s making the evening news. Last night, CBS 11 reported on the latest record low mortgage interest rates (now 3.56%), and how some areas of DFW have become a seller’s market.
The new story featured Ebby Associate Jennifer Johnson and her client Brooke Pretzel, who along with her husband, recently decided to sell their home in Frisco because of the low mortgage rates.
We re moving up in our square footage, but we re going to be paying only a few hundred dollars more per month, Pretzel said.
The best news though, when the Pretzels listed their home with Jennifer, they expected it to be on the market for several months. That wasn’t the case:
Once we were on the market, we only had to do showings for two days, she said.
Jennifer added that unlike recent years, houses that are well maintained and updated are selling very quickly.
