Here’s what to expect in DFW this Memorial Day week: beer and cheese pairings, five-course meals, Thai culture, margaritas and more!

Food Truck Schedule: Check out where your favorite meals are this week in Dallas!

 

Thursday, May 21:

Community Beer Company: How does beer and cheese sound for a Thursday night? Community Beer is teaming up with Rare Edibles to offer cheese pairings with select craft brews. For $30, you get four beers and eight cheeses. The pairing begins at 6 p.m.

 

Urban Acres Farmstead: Bring your appetite and indulge in a local and organic five-course meal, celebrating local farmers. This BYOB meal costs $65/person. The kitchen starts warming up at 6:30 p.m.

 

SER Steak + Spirits: Napa meets Dallas in this Raymond Vineyards Wine Dinner. Enjoy a five-course dinner with select wines, plus a special visit from Raymond Vineyard’s winemaker Stephanie Putnam. $149/person. Reception begins at 6:30 p.m. For reservations, call 214.761.7479

 

Deep Ellum Wine Walk: Combine wine and shopping this Thursday. Purchase your passport at the Kettle Art Gallery and prepare to sip and shop all throughout Deep Ellum. $10 for wine passport. Walk is 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

 

Friday, May 22:

Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters: Coffee lovers are invited to sip coffee — or beer — and see stunning espresso machines on display. Event is from 6-9 p.m. Although this event is free to attend, you must register here.

 

Saturday, May 23-24:

Thai Culture and Food Festival: Travel to Thailand this weekend and experience culture and authentic Thai cuisine. Presented by the Thai Community Center of North Texas, Thai products and arts will be on display, as well as live performances, dances and music. Free admission and parking. Saturday: 11 a.m – 9 p.m.; Sunday: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the Buddhist Center of Dallas.

 

Sunday, May 24:

Dallas Margarita Meltdown: Visit the Bishop Arts District in Oak Cliff for this popular event on Sunday. Sample 20+ margaritas from Dallas-area restaurants and watch as competitors create their finest drinks to win $1,000. 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. Tickets begin at $30.

 

Deep Ellum Brewing Co: It’s time for the annual BREW-B-Q! Enjoy live music, seasonal and limited release beers and a plate of Rudy’s BBQ. Attendees will also get to take home a commemorative BREW-B-Q glass. Event begins at 5 p.m. Online: $30; Door: $40

Saint Ann’s: Last Thursday, actress Drew Barrymore visited the beloved Harwood District restaurant to celebrate the release of her new wine, Barrymore by Carmel Road Pinot Grigio.

 

Patina Green: The Mckinney business will now be serving dinner Friday and Saturday.

 

Dallas Farmers Market: More restaurants are signing up to be permanently placed in the renovated and reconstructed Farmer’s Market. Newly added Mudhen will offer vegetarian and Paleo eats starting later this fall.

 

Steel City Pops: The popular popsicle shop is expanding to Garland this summer, with plans on opening their new location at Firewheel Town Center in June.
