Let’s face it, no one likes to do laundry. However, if you had a fabulous space in which to tackle this chore, life would be much easier.
Wallpaper in a large-scale or graphic pattern and bold color really transforms a space. The wallpaper I selected for my laundry room makes it so cheerful. A happy color palette also helps make the chore of doing laundry a bit less mundane.
Utilize accessories for storage and to add style to a space. I use a blue lacquered tray to organize containers holding detergent pods and clothespins. A blue lacquered box hides essentials like Tide pens, scissors, safety pins, a sewing kit and lint brush. I keep my dryer sheets in a yellow lacquered box.
I opted for an outdoor rug to bring in a touch of pink. It can be hosed off any time, which is great because this room gets a lot of use.
If you don’t have a lot of natural light, make sure the room is well-lit. I added a chandelier as another source of light and a beautiful design element. While a chandelier is certainly not necessary in a laundry room, it definitely adds a wow-factor to the space.
