Success Stories

The Ebby Halliday Home Team receives feedback everyday from helping people all over the country buy and sell quality homes throughout the Metroplex. Here are a few examples of the great job our associates do for their clients and what you can expect, too.

Dear Don,

I want to let you know what an extreme pleasure it has been purchasing my new home with the help of Gayle McCord.

Gayle has been working with me for over one year. All of her extra effort helped me purchase the home of my dreams - a model home in Flower Mound.

I own my own business, and I know how hard it is to get employees to put forth an extra helping hand beyond the call of duty. She is still helping me get repairs done, and she has already received her check! She's wonderful! Thank you for hiring such knowledgeable and caring employees!

Sincerely,

Jerilyn Geozeff

Mr. Davis,

This letter is long overdue but one I felt compelled to write nonetheless.

I wanted to convey my deepest appreciation for Gayle McCord whom I met four years ago when I purchased my first home. Since that time she has gone out of her way to stay in touch with me and inform me of the latest information relevant to being a homeowner.

Gayle displays the utmost in professionalism and has a work ethic second to none. She has gone out of her way to help me in the purchase of my new home, and the seeing through of the selling of my old one. She has gone above and beyond what a real estate agent is charged to do, and for that I am extremely grateful.

Sincerely,

Chris Agness

Gayle McCord was our realtor in the recent purchase of a new home in Plano. We started this process without a very clear picture of what we wanted or where we wanted to be located. ... Gayle managed to educate us about the market, about the process of buying a home, and homes that were available, spending much time screening hundreds of homes to email us a selection and get us out looking as well as take us through the hurdles of buying a home.

In the process of closing on the house, she made things extremely smooth. We had never worked with a realtor that was so hands-on and made sure every detail was covered, as well as providing communication and assistance to remove any unnecessary risk or concerns in buying the home. We certainly appreciate the experience of buying a home through Gayle and Ebby Halliday.

Sincerely,

Frank and Jackie

We are working with an excellent agent, Gayle McCord with Ebby Halliday, Realtors ... Gayle is a tech-savvy agent. She has every piece of equipment possible that a realtor could need or want. She has a computer in her home that can dial into the MLS, she has a cell phone and a voice paging system so that she is never out of touch.

Gayle has to perform her searches at night for us because the new MLS system is so slow during the day. That means a 12-24 hour delay. When you are buying for an investment in the market where homes are selling in 24 hours to a week, that is just too long.

It seems to me that the real estate industry is changing. If real estate informtion isn't restricted anymore then a Realtor only has service and timliness to sell. My Realtor prooves she is worth it in that respect. When we do a deal it goes smoothly until it gets to the other agent. That is when it breaks down. Some Realtors don's have cell phones or fax machines. My Realtor downloads contract forms to me, faxes it to me, I sign it, fax it back, then she faxes it to the selling agent, and then......we wait.

Gayle has explained to me that the cost of technology is too high for some agents, but I don't want to deal with any agents who can't compete with her level of service. I believe that soon, no one else will, either.

From a buying standpoint, I want accurate comps. I want to know, am I getting a good deal? For that reason, I like the trend toward buyer's agents. If my agent has a listing, she will refer buyers to another agent instead of taking both sides of the transaction for herself. She will look out for the seller's interest. She has only been an agent for three years, but that kind of integrity tells me she will be the top Realtor around here in ten years.

Dear Mr. Davis,

I'm writing again to commend my Ebby agent, Gayle McCord. My wife and I just bought our first home, and it is a dream come true, and such a blessing for us. Two weeks after moving in, we still have to remind ourselves that this is really where we live!

The house we bought was a foreclosure - miraculously, one that was not in need of any significant repair. This made it a great value for us, but it also meant that it would involve more procedural hoops to jump through, plus the unknown of dealing with a bank whose home office was in another state. The process was not free from its speed bumps, detours and difficulties - but you would hardly have known it from our end. We wanted to close quickly in order to coincide with the end of lease, which meant getting everything finalized and to the title company in just over a week. The seller liked that, but because they were a bank and not an individual, they did not seem to be in much of a hurry to get the process completed. It would not have taken much for this to become a stress-filled sprint, but Ms. McCord and the team she brought to the table made things so easy for us. Any worries we had turned out to be completely unfounded. From the initial walk-thru of the house to inspections to arranging financing and closing, Ms McCord perfectly played the skillful director managing the process, with her very talented team members each playing their parts perfectly. We always knew where in the process things stood, and while it may have been a bit labor-intensive for Ms. McCord and her team, it was incredibly easy for my wife and me.

This is the second time I've been able to see Ms. McCord in action. Three years ago, my mother bought a house through Ebby. Because my wife and I - newly married - would be occupying the house as tenants, I was able to be involved in the process. Like this most recent purchase, it had the possibility to turn ugly when there was a hailstorm the week of closing. I was able to see first-hand Ms. McCord use her skills to deftly overcome this change in negotiating atmosphere and bring that plane in for a surprising smooth landing. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone I know who is looking for a new home, and I wanted to make sure you were aware of the consistently outstanding service one of your agents has rendered.

Sincerely,
Frank and Kristin Barnett

Dear Gayle:

I want to personally thank you for the outstanding job you did in representing me in the sale of my investment real estate. Your attention to detail, advice, and knowledge of the marketplace made a real difference. As a business professional, it is not often that I run across someone that exceeds my expectations, but you certainly did.

As a prior real estate agent, it is refreshing to see the exemplary service that you provide. I can assure you that when I need your professional assistance selling properties in the future, you will be the first on my list.

Best regards,
Bryan R. Martin
