Moving is never easy and moving to a state you have never been to does not make it any easier. James Sharp of Ebby Halliday, Realtors took on this challenge for us and the results were fantastic.

My wife accepted a job offer in Plano, Texas, in June and her start date was in August. We lived in Des Moines, Iowa, and that gave us two months to learn about our new community and state and to find a new home. James Sharp was assigned to our situation and took it on with a smile and with style. We were concerned about working with a Realtor and real estate company we had never heard of. Mr. Sharp put those concerns to rest immediately. He contacted us and introduced himself, gathered our wants and wishes for the type home we wanted and the amount we could afford. Immediately he provided us with information regarding the area and what was available. He "weeded out" areas he knew we would not be happy in and concentrated on areas close to my wife's work and in great thriving communities.

While I stayed in Iowa to complete the sale of our current home, my wife started work in Texas and stayed in temporary housing. Being new to her position she had very little time left in her day to do research and continue the search for the home we wanted. James Sharp took on that responsibility and made sure that every day we had new properties to look at. He kept her and me (two states away) up to date on the market by e-mail as well as personal phone calls. He arranged his schedule to coincide with my wife's so he could show her as many homes as possible. Week nights and even family weekend time he put aside for us. We want to take this opportunity to thank his wife and family as well. He kept me informed and with a one weekend trip to Texas he had multiple homes in areas he knew we would want to look at. Making a decision like this is not easy. With one weekend I had to spend in Texas we were able to make multiple offers on homes we were interested in. His follow-up with those offers and the communication to us was exceptional.

We found a home that was not yet completed that we fell in love with. He was able to work with the contractor and local entities to speed up the completion of the home and have the move-in date coincide with the sale of our home in Iowa. James Sharp kept on top of any issue that would arise and made sure the builder stayed on track. He provided us with multiple references regarding home insurance, home inspectors as well as local contacts for utility agencies.

We closed the sale of our house in Iowa on September 18th, closed on our new house on September 22nd and moved in on September 23rd. That is phenomenal and thanks to James Sharp and Ebby Halliday, Realtors it was an easy and stress free move. I would recommend James Sharp to any family member or friend knowing they would get the same excellent, personable and rewarding attention and results.
