With over 18 years of experience as a Realtor with Ebby Halliday, Bridget has had the opportunity to lead many buyers and sellers through successful transactions. She enjoys learning and is continually updating her skills and knowledge base in order to better serve her clients. She truly cares about her clients, adapts easily, and desires to help them attain their goals.
While Bridget is motivated by helping people, the concept of service and usefulness is especially highlighted in her work with senior clients or their caregiver families, a group of homeowners who typically discover late-in-life moves to be fraught with unforeseen emotional, financial, and logistical demands.
To better help seniors and their families through this process, Bridget has invested considerable time and energy to receive specialized training in the unique process of senior real estate services. She has undergone a rigorous vetting and advanced educational curriculum to achieve the designation of Certified Senior Housing Professional (CSHP) awarded by The Seniors Real Estate Institute.
"The issues involved in the sale of a home are vastly different when an individual or couple is contemplating a late-in-life move," says Nikki Buckelew, founder and CEO of The Seniors Real Estate Institute. "We train our Certified Senior Housing Professionals - like Bridget - to be friends, advisers, and business partners with their clients while they navigate the complexities of downsizing. Our designees not only have a passion for helping seniors, they have the tools, resources, and expertise to make late-in-life moves less overwhelming."
Bridget has experienced firsthand the difficulties that seniors and families face when the time comes for a senior to transition to a new phase of life. She has helped her mother-in-law, who struggled with Alzheimers, both sets of grandparents, and an aunt make the move into continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) so she fully understands the role of family in this endeavor.
When recently asked, she had this to say about her work. "I feel as though my place for service and usefulness in the world is largely to help seniors, especially those making a late in life move. I find great reward knowing that they truly appreciate having a trustworthy guide who understands what they are going through and knows how to get the job done."
She originally hailed from Shreveport, LA and then graduated from Baylor University. She is married to Michael Bell, also of Shreveport and they raised two sons in Lake Highlands where they have lived for 40 years.
