Mike comes to the Real Estate industry after 20 years in the Hotel and Hospitality business. He added tremendous value to the Guest Experience as a Director of Banquet Operations, Event Management, and Corporate Sales for Starwood and Marriott Hotel Corp. Although he did enjoy a brief time period in 2002-2004 as a Real Estate Agent, where he worked for several brokerages and sold residential and investment property, he made the decision to return to the hotel business.
His passion for people is what led him to the Hospitality industry nearly two decades ago, and his desire to help connect people to what matters most to them has not faded. During his tenure in the hotel business, Mike had the opportunity to work with many different clients at various business, social, and cultural levels, such as large corporations planning company conferences to helping families of all sizes and backgrounds bring monumental events to life. In addition to his passion for people, his unwavering integrity, impeccable organization, and strong communication skills played a vital role in leading his team toward company accolades and prestigious recognitions.
On a personal level, Mike is originally from the West Coast and will always love his place of birth, the beautiful city of San Francisco. Mike moved to The Great State of Texas in 1983, where he was part owner and operator of George Wesby’s Pub, an Irish Pub and Restaurant started by his brother in downtown Dallas. George Wesby’s Pub boasts the distinct honor of winning the “Best Float Award” for the first ever Downtown Dallas St. Patrick’s Day Parade, not only once but twice. Slainte !!
Mike has been married to his wife, Marilyn, whom he met at the Sheraton Park Central Hotel, for nearly 30 years. Together, they have three adult children who all live in Texas. He loves spending time with his family, playing with their two crazy dogs, cooking and entertaining friends, and relaxing with a nice glass of wine. All in all, family means everything to Mike, which is why you can depend on him to serve yours.
