Smokey Robinson Plays Dallas

Once pronounced by Bob Dylan as America’s “greatest living poet,” acclaimed singer-songwriter Smokey Robinson is coming to Dallas and you’re invited! Ebby Halliday Realtors is a proud sponsor of “A Special Evening with Smokey Robinson” benefiting LaunchAbility on March 31 at the Meyerson Symphony Center. LaunchAbility’s mission is to help children and adults with developmental disabilities achieve their maximum potential and lead fulfilling lives within our community.

Born and raised in Detroit, Smokey Robinson founded The Miracles while still in high school. The Miracles’ single of Robinson’s “Shop Around” became Motown’s first  No. 1 hit on the R&B singles chart. In the years following, Robinson has penned many hits, including “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me,” “Ooo Baby Baby,” “The Tracks of My Tears,” “Going to a Go-Go,” “More Love,” “Tears of a Clown” (co-written with Stevie Wonder), and “I Second That Emotion.”
