This week and weekend are big ones for food and drink in D-FW. From wine-paired dinners to celebrity chefs and craft brew to a pig cookin’, there’s an event for everyone going on over the next few days. Check out all of your options below.

 

Lazaranda: Chef Antonio Marquez will host a four-course dinner with wine pairings from Chequen Winery on Thursday, May 15, at 7 p.m. for $44.95/person. The menu includes duck barbacoa, stuffed shrimp, pork tenderloin, and a mango & chocolate symphony.

 

Salum: There will be a wine dinner featuring pairings with Chateau Montelena Winery on Thursday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m. for $185/person. The menu includes diver scallops, ravioli, a wagyu beef tenderloin tartare, duck breast, lamp, and a sweet butter & pistachio tart.

 

Redenta’s Potting Bar: Organic nursery Redenta’s Garden hosts happy hours every third Thursday of the month including this Thursday, May 15. Enjoy local beer, cider, and snacks as you put together a potted plant of your own from 6 to 8 p.m.

 

White Linen Dallas: Put on your springtime linen duds and head to Times Ten Cellar for a hors d’oeuvres and wine event in collaboration with Nora restaurant. There will also be live music and a silent auction benefitting Dallas homeless outreach center The Bridge. It will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 15.

 

2014 Main Street Days: Downtown Grapevine’s 30th annual event, held from Friday, May 16, to Sunday, May 18, features a craft brew experience like no other. Wine connoisseurs , shopaholics, and jewelry admirers will also find something to love. Admission is free on Friday and will cost $5-$7 on Saturday and Sunday.

 

Fork & Cork: The 2014 replacement for Taste of Addison, running Friday and Saturday, May 16 and 17, includes appearances from award-winning chef Marcus Samuelson and music legend Pat Green. Fabulous food, great drinks, and live music make this an event you won’t want to miss out on.

 

Top Pot Doughnuts Demonstration: See how founder Mark Klebeck makes his hand-forged doughnuts and get a signed copy of his cookbook this Saturday, May 17, at Sur La Table. The event includes all the recipes, two doughnut tastings, and a taste of his doughnut bread pudding.

 

Barter Barbecue: A full pig will be roasted on Saturday, May 17, to celebrate Dallas’ warming weather. All-you-can-eat pork, rice, and beans will be served for just $25 starting at 11 a.m.

 

Taste of the NFL: Meet Cowboy’s players past and present, dine on gourmet tailgate food, sip signature cocktails, and give back to the North Texas Food Bank at this year’s event. It will be held at Glass Cactus Nightclub on Sunday, May 18.

 

Cedar Springs Tap House: A new sports bar and tap house will be going in the new Ilume building and is expected to open in July.
