The good news keeps coming for Texas. With 46,600 jobs added in July, the state ranked No. 1 nationwide in job growth, according to just-released data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Overall in July, 36 states and Washington, D.C., added jobs. Thirteen states lost jobs and one, Iowa, saw no change. Ohio saw the largest monthly decline, losing 12,400 jobs.
Texas has been No. 1 in jobs added three other times this year. Unlike some other states, Texas has seen job growth across all of its major industry groups.
Texas also leads the nation in job creation over the last 12 months with 396,200 jobs for an annualized rate of 3.5 percent.
In addition to significant job growth, Texas, and Dallas-Fort Worth in particular, offers affordable housing options. To learn more, visit the award-winning ebby.com.
