Your Weekend Round Up (9/18-9/21)

This weekend is a big one for the arts! We have everything from the Deep Ellum Fall Gallery Walk to the Funny or Die Comedy Tour to Shakespeare in the Park. If you’re looking for daytime activities or live music, there are plenty of options for those, too!

North Texas Giving Day: Today is North Texas Giving Day! Donate to your favorite local non-profit before midnight to help raise money. All donations over $25 will be matched.

Music Thursday and Klyde Warren Park: This week’s event features a JazzMasters Set with the Mark Lettieri Group (Grammy Award Member of Snarky Puppy). Grab a blanket and a friend and enjoy the nice, cooler weather.

35th Annual Plano Balloon Festival: The festival in the Balloon Capital of Texas is back from Friday, September 19 to Sunday, Sept. 21. Saturday is the day to be there, with live music, activities for kids, and a balloon glow and fireworks at night.

Funny or Die Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival: Some of comedy’s biggest names, including Louis C.K. and Sarah Silverman, will perform stand up at Gexa on Friday night.

Limp Bizkit: Though the band hit their peak in the early 2000’s, they’re still producing new music. Friday, they’ll be at the South Side Ballroom promoting their new album with Machine Gun Kelly as their opening act.

Til Midnight at the Nasher: Friday’s free event features a 7 o’clock live outdoor concert by Goodnight Ned and a screening of The Great Gatsby in the Garden at 9pm.

16th annual Deep Ellum Fall Gallery Walk: Saturday, Sept. 20 from 2-8pm, experience all your favorite galleries in Deep Ellum and Expo Park.
