Tuesday, Dec. 9:

The Grape & Community Beer Co. Dinner: This is The Grape’s last event of the year. The restaurant promises a fun night and a four-course, beer-paired dinner featuring Community Beer Company.


Thursday, Dec. 11:

Capitol Pub Anniversary Party: Join the Henderson Ave. pub in celebrating 7 years of business with half-priced draughts, $5 cocktails, complimentary Capitol Punch and half-priced pizza. There will also be a photo booth and music from DJ Mike Roos beginning at 9pm.


A Chanukah & 18th Birthday Party for Shmaltz Brewing CompanyGoodfriend beer garden and burger house will host a celebration including live music and flights featuring Schmalts ales.


Pyramid Champagne Dinner: Savor a four-course menu including pork belly, monkfish, manchego cheesecake and more paired with decadent champagnes like Ruinart Rose and Veuve Cliquot Vintage.


Friday, Dec. 12:

Penfolds Wine Dinner at Ser Steak + Spirits: A six-course dinner will feature ahi tuna toro, venison loin, charred New York Strip and more paired with wines from Penfolds, named Australian Wine Producer of the Year at the International Wine and Spirit Competition.


Saturday, Dec. 13:

Cheesy Sweater, Free Burrito: Chipotle chains across Texas invite you to stop by in your cheesiest holiday sweater and in return they’ll give you a buy on get one free deal on burritos, burrito bowls, salads, and tacos.


Lakewood Brewing Company BBT14 Release Party & Tour: The brewery’s popular imperial milk stout, Bourbon Barrel Temptress, which has been aged in oak bourbon barrels is back for a limited time. Head to the brewery to celebrate its return with samplings, live music, and food by KB’s Brats.


Rabbit Hole Brewing “Hole New Year” Anniversary Party: Celebrate a year of great beer with the whole Rabbit Hole team at their brewery in Justin, TX. The party includes the release of their limited-edition New Year’s beer, Hole Lang Syne, as well as a sampling of other limited edition and regular beers, brisket sandwiches, and live music.


Truck Yard’s Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Competition: An ugly sweater contest, warm winter cocktails, and Little Santa are just a few of the things you can expect at this unique holiday celebration in Lower Greenville.


Sunday, Dec. 14

Lakewood Brewing Company’s BBT Week: After the release party, the brewery will continue celebrating their Bourbon Barrel Temptress with a week of parties beginning Sunday at Goodfriend beer garden and burger house. Each day will feature the new BBT alongside a vintage Temptress from the past.



Boom Juice: The first permanent location of the cold-pressed juice bar will open this month at Sylvan | Thirty.


El Bolero: The minds behind Oak and Pakpoa are planing a new restaurant in the Design District to open in early 2015. It will serve up Mexican food with authentic, regional flavors brought to you by chef Hugo Galvan and promises and authentic atmosphere as well.


Henderson Ave. Country Club: Think cowboy boots and guitars, not golf clubs and violins. When this honky-tonk joint opens in January it will offer smoked meats, cornmeal-crusted catfish and more alongside your favorite country tunes.


Old Chicago: Stop in Mockingbird Station‘s newest restaurant, which officially opened on Monday, for delicious pizzas, fresh salads and more.


The Market Hall: This California-based grocery store/specialty food concept plans to open in Addison by spring 2015. Expect prepared foods, fresh meats and seafood, locally sourced produce, spirits, and its own restaurant.


Uchi: This Austin-based Japanese restaurant is set to open in early 2015 on Maple Ave. in Uptown.
