Today marks the beginning of the NFL Draft, but this weekend is also big for live music and culture in DFW. From DJs to country music and Broadway to Cinco de Mayo, there’s something for everyone.

Thursday, April 30:

Decks in the Park: Dallas’ top DJs will be at Klyde Warren Park to get you dancing under the stars. It’s family-friendly and there will be food trucks on site.

 

2015 Dallas Cowboys Draft Day: Today is one of the biggest days of the year for NFL football fans, the beginning of the draft. The Cowboys will hold parties for three days; Thursday and Saturday at AT&T Stadium and Friday at the Rustic.

 

Mayfest 2015: You’re sure to find plenty of festival food, rides, and fun at this family-friendly Fort Worth event. It goes through Sunday.

 

Newsises: The two-time Tony award-winning Broadway musical has made its way to Dallas. Get a look into the exciting times surrounding the 1899 New York City newsboy strike at Winspear Opera House now through May 10.

 

Friday, May 1:

Dwight Yoakam: The country music star will play at Gas Monkey Bar n’ Grill.

 

Kacey Musgraves: The country star-on-the-rise will be at Billy Bob’s.

 

Rangers v. Athletics: Our Texas Rangers will take on the Oakland Athletics in a three-game series through Sunday. Get out there and cheer them on!

 

Saturday, May 2:

Asian Festival 2015: The 25th year of this event is sure to be a big one. Dive into Asian food and culture at Klyde Warren Park.

 

Cinco De Mayo Parade & Festival: Oak Cliff will host a parade complete with marching bands, costumes, floats, and more in celebration of the upcoming holiday. Afterwards, the festival will feature live music, food, drink and more.

 

Cottonwood Art Festival: The annual festival in Richardson will feature more than 240 artists, live music, and food and drink. Join in on the celebration through Sunday.

 

Lady Antebellum: Fresh from their show at the ACM Awards two weeks ago, the country group will be back in Dallas with openers Hunter Hayes and Sam Hunt at Gexa Energy Pavilion.

 

The Who: The rock legends will make their way through Dallas on their celebrate their 50th anniversary at American Airlines Center. Opening for the group is Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.

 

Sunday, May 3:

Dog BowlCotton Bowl Stadium will become a haven for dog-lovers and man’s best friend for the day during this ultimate pooch party. There will be treats for dogs and humans alike.
