Thursday, August 27

Evening in the Shed: Occurring every Thursday evening in the month of August, Dallas Farmer’s Market will host an Evening in the Shed. Guests will have the opportunity to shop the market for everything local, including arts and crafts, fresh produce and artisan food. Beer, wine and live music will also be in attendance. Visit the calendar to get the scoop on who’s performing every Thursday. 4-9 p.m.


North Texas Fair & Rodeo: Denton’s annual nine-day fair continues into its final weekend, featuring horse and livestock shows, carnival rides, concert stages, a chili cook-off, pageant, parade and more! Headliners for the live music include the Charlie Daniels Band and Josh Abbott Band. 6 p.m. Purchase tickets here.


Friday, August 28

Swing in the Park: Ever wanted to learn how to swing dance? Here’s your chance! Studio 22 will host a series of swing dance classes on the Muse Family Performance Pavilion at Klyde Warren Park, where you’ll learn the steps to keep you swift on your feet. FREE. 6 p.m.


San Jacinto Plaza Music Series: Enjoy live music Friday and Saturday evenings in Downtown Rockwall’s newest public space, San Jacinto Plaza. Café style tables and chairs, as well as seat walls, fill the space. Friday Night Fireworks: Travel over to Grapevine and watch the skies light up with colorful sparks. This FREE 12-minute show is accompanied by exciting music, which is available for download here. Try to set up shop on the rooftop of the Gaylord Texan’s parking garage — it has the best view and features a DJ with plenty of music. 9:30 p.m.


Saturday, August 29

Design District Market: Visit Community Beer Company in the Design District and stroll vendors featuring local artists, photographers, fashion and jewelry designers, vintage shops and more. Guests can also enjoy food trucks and live music from The Fox and the Bird, and Dripping Wet . FREE – 2 p.m.


Dale Chihuly Exhibit: The Talley Dunn Gallery will host an exhibition of new work by Dale Chihuly, including a dazzling display of aqua, cobalt and periwinkle blue tones. FREE – 5 p.m.


Reunion Lawn Party: Have fun at a free lawn party near the base of Reunion Tower with food trucks, lawn games, and a beer garden featuring craft beers from local breweries. Enjoy live music from Chap Bernet and the Bird Dogs, taking the stage around 7 p.m. FREE. 6:30-10:30 p.m.


Sunday, August 30

Sunday Funday: The new laid back and family-friendly summer series will take place on the banks of, and in, the Trinity River at Panther Island Pavilion. It will feature tubing, craft beer from Panther Island Brewing, paddle sports, Stand Up Paddleboard yoga, disc golf and more. FREE admission. $5 tube rentals. 12-6 p.m.


Big Tex Choice Awards: Be one of the first people to taste the food made by the finalists at the 11th Annual Big Tex Choice Awards food competition! All proceeds benefit the State Fair of Texas Youth Scholarship Program. $100/person. 2:30 p.m. Purchase tickets here.


Salsa & Sangria Sundays: Enjoy sangria and live salsa music on Saint Ann’s patio, located in the Harwood District of downtown Dallas. 7-10 p.m.
