Tuesday, September 8

Ice Cream Social: The classic soda fountain gets spiked with spirited, dessert-inspired cocktails and decadently unique ice cream sundaes and toppings at this event, featuring Remedy Executive Chef Danyele McPherson (you may recognize her from Top Chef!) and Beverage Director Máté Hartai. $50/person. 6 p.m. Purchase tickets here.


Saturday, September 12

Dallas Chocolate Festival: Celebrate chocolate makers and chocolatiers at the annual festival, held at the Addison Conference Centre, that offers everything from beautifully painted bonbons to imaginative chocolate sculptures and several bean-to-bar artisans in between. $25/person. 2:30 p.m. Purchase tickets here.


Brewfest: Join Dallas Observer at the Dallas Farmers Market as they celebrate the 5th Annual Dallas Observer BrewFest, presented by Whole Foods Market. This outdoor beer-sampling event and festival will feature craft beers, local food vendors and live music! Twelve (2oz) beer samples are included in the ticket price. 7 p.m. $45/person. Sunday, September 13

Okrapalooza: In it’s 6th year, Okrapalooza is home to Dallas’ one and only okra cook-off competition. Founded by the Promise of Peace Community Gardens, local celebrity chefs compete to showcase their skills in a two-hour cooking and tasting event. This year, enjoy refreshing beer, dish tastings, live music and activity tents. 11 a.m. $35-$45/person. Purchase tickets here.


Touchdown Tailgate Tasting: Local renowned chefs will gather at Expressions Home Gallery for the first annual Touchdown Tailgate Tasting, benefiting Café Momentum. These chefs will be given a crate of mystery ingredients and must come up with a dish to wow the ultimate football fan. 1 p.m. $50/person. Purchase tickets here.
