Wednesday, October 7

Celebrity Chef Luncheon: VNA will host its sixth annual Celebrity Chef Luncheon to benefit the VNA Meals on Wheels program. French chef Anne Willan, founder of the Ecole de Cusine La Varenne cooking school in Paris, will headline the intimate lunchtime gathering. 11 a.m. Purchase tickets here.

 

Thursday, October 8

Shop, Eat, Drink, PINK: Travel to the Bishop Arts District for their annual Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser, featuring a fashion show, parties, bra-decorating contest and more! Local restaurants will offer discounts, prizes and specials for anyone who purchases a ticket. Proceeds benefit Methodist Hospital’s breast cancer early detection and mammogram program for women. $25/person. 6 p.m. Purchase tickets here.

 

Craft Beer Tasting: Join the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden a for pre-concert tasting with Lakewood Brewing Company. Tasting includes four samples of hand-crafted brews, a brewery tasting glass and a full beer to enjoy at the end of the tasting. Light bites will also be provided. Friday, October 9

Pinot Noir & Cheese: Join Scardello as they explore five Pinots from around the world, all paired with delicious cheeses. $45/person. 8 p.m. Purchase tickets here.

 

Saturday, October 10

After Hours at the Kimbell Art Museum: Enjoy signature cocktails, yummy bites and international art during the Kimbell Art Museum’s after hours. Also experience a live musical performance by the Joey Carter Trio. Free for members; $30 for nonmembers.

 

Sunday, October 11

Truck Yard Chili Cook-Off: Visit the Truck Yard in Dallas’ Lower Greenville area (across from Trader Joe’s) for their inaugural chili cook-off. Guests can taste samples from some of Dallas’ most talented chefs, including Nathan Tate from Rapscallion, Jon Stevens of Stock & Barrel and many more! All proceeds will benefit Angie’s Friends, a local non-profit animal organization that’s dedicated to helping neglected and abused dogs. $25/person (available at door). 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
