Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness

No time in recent history has tested our resolve like the previous year’s events: a pandemic, an election year, and a devastating winter storm.

As we commemorate Independence Day, let us celebrate our enthusiasm in liberty and our individual and collective acts of bravery and heroism. We have overcome so much and continue to endure in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

There is a certain enthusiasm in liberty that makes human nature rise above itself, in acts of bravery and heroism.

Alexander Hamilton, “The Farmer Refuted” February 23, 1775
