Ebby Associates Featured on NBC DFW s Real Estate Market Snapshot

This week, two Ebby Associates were featured on the NBC DFW evening news for a series showing great homes currently available at various price points in the DFW Metroplex.

Associate John C. Weber of the Hickman + Weber Group with Ebby’s Lakewood office was featured Wednesday night in the segment highlighting homes available in the $500,000 range. John showed off the great Tudor listing at 6200 Tremont in Lakewood. One special feature of this home is the 600 square foot full guest house, which, as John points out, would be perfect for nanny’s quarters, a separate home office, or in-law suite.

Last night’s feature highlighted great listings in the $750,000 range and included the home at 6739 Northport in Preston Hollow, listed by Ebby Associate Kay Weeks from the Preston Center office. This home sits on a wonderful 100′ x 182′ lot and the backyard is an entertainer’s delight with large patio areas, pool with waterfall feature and grotto.

What Are The 100 Most Expensive Homes In Dallas?

You can find the answer in the cover story of D Magazine’s July issue, which also features the Best Real Estate Agents in Dallas 2009 (The Ebby Companies have 98 of the 301 honored agents and you can see them all here). The list was compiled using appraisal values from the Dallas Central Appraisal District as of D’s press time.

An interesting note, The Ebby Halliday Companies participated in the sale of #’s 2, 3 and 4 on the list, as well as others. In fact, #3 closed last week!

Ebby Associates Go Green

Last week, Ebby Associates learned about Energy Efficient Living from Pam Daniel, an Associate in the Southwest Dallas/Ellis Co. Office. Pam wrote this TREC-approved MCE class and holds the Green Designation from the National Association of Realtors. The class was held at the green built home at 6527 Sondra Drive in Lakewood which is listed by Sheri Eddleman. This home has a HERS (Home Energy Rating System) rating of 66 and one of the leading factors to this low rating is the rigid foam insulation according to the builder and President of Prestige Designer Homes, Carollee Kamesch. Also in attendance were Craig Senglin, Owner of Energy IQ and Brian Brasher, Vice President of Energy IQ, which is a certified energy rating company that provides energy audits and recommendations on ways to lower utility costs.
