Ebby Companies Welcome Pam O Connor

The Ebby Halliday Companies welcomed Pam O’Connor, President & CEO of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World to Dallas on Tuesday. Ms. O’Connor spoke at the North Dallas MLS meeting at Macaroni Grill on Northwest Highway, which was hosted by Ellen Terry, Realtors. She was introduced by Lee Thomas, manager of the Ellen Terry office and Ebby Halliday who was one of the four founding members of RELO, which is now known as LeadingRE.

Ms. O’Connor spoke about various national real estate trends and focused on the luxury market with statistics from Luxury Portfolio Fine Property Collection, the luxury division of LeadingRE. Highlights of her speech included information on significant luxury properties currently for sale such as the Aaron Spelling and Leona Helmsley Estates, the sale of 27 Luxury Portfolio properties priced over $5 million in First Quarter 2009 as well as insight on the “Recession Chic” mentality of today’s value-conscious luxury consumer.

Ms. O’Connor ended the discussion with a brief overview of the rising popularity of social networking, stating that 6 out of 10 wealthy consumers online now use some form of social networking.

Preservation Dallas Celebrates Another Successful Tour

The Preservation Dallas Spring Architectural Tour: Five Decades of Style, sponsored by the Ebby Halliday Family of Companies, was a huge success this past Saturday. The overcast weather was perfect for touring the six beautiful historic homes located throughout Dallas. A big thank you to the Pacesetters Real Estate Networking Group and everyone else that helped to make the tour such a success. You can see candid photos from the tour at the offical Ebby Halliday Facebook page here. Be sure and become a fan!

Associates Say The Spring Real Estate Market Looks Promising

The First Quarter 2009 Breakfast of Champions was held this morning at the Park City Club. Associates from Ebby Halliday, REALTORS, Ellen Terry, REALTORS and Dave Perry-Miller & Associates enjoyed updates from company President & CEO Mary Frances Burleson, Sr. Vice President & Director of Sales Offices Betty Misko, special guest Ebby Halliday as well as other members of the Senior Management Team.

Associates were also able to network with each other and share information about various market trends across the Metroplex. If this morning’s discussion is any indication, it’s going to be a very busy Second Quarter – the Spring market seems to be in full swing.

You can see candid pics from the event on the Official Ebby Halliday Facebook Page, here.
