The O’Gorman Group of Ebby Halliday Realtors was recently named to the 2019 REAL Trends Top Thousand. Compiled by The Wall Street Journal and REAL Trends Inc., the “Thousand” is comprised of four annual nationwide Top 250 rankings: Top Individuals by Transaction Sides, Top Individuals by Sales Volume, Top Teams by Transactions Sides and Top Teams by Sales Volume.

 

The O’Gorman Group, led by Preston Keller Associate Cindy O’Gorman, ranked No. 3 in D-FW on the Top Teams by Sales Volume list with $130,630,694 in residential real estate sales in 2018.

Pamela Young Names SWD/EC Sales Leader

 

Ebby Halliday Realtors has appointed Pamela Young sales leader of its Southwest Dallas/Ellis County Office. Chris Kelly, president and chief executive officer, recently made the announcement.

 

“I extend my sincere gratitude to longtime Southwest Dallas/Ellis County Sales Leader Terri Wheeler, who has been with Ebby for 37 years, 25 of those in management,” says Kelly. “Terri will continue to be an important presence in the office she guided and built, and will continue to support agents in a meaningful way going forward.”

 

Young brings extensive real estate experience, as well as a strong desire to assist Ebby’s Southwest Dallas/Ellis County agents in taking their careers to the next level, Kelly says.

 

“Pamela has been a very effective leader of our eResource Department,” he says. “She believes Ebby is a place she can grow professionally and she has certainly done that. I am confident her background will benefit our Southwest Dallas/Ellis County Office in many ways.”

 

Young has been with the Ebby Halliday Companies for 18 years and has considerable experience in leadership positions. She loves the excitement of assisting clients in finding just the right home — and says she has never met a stranger.

One of the surest signs of a great company is longtime employees, or in our case, sales associates and staff members. The Ebby Halliday Companies are fortunate to have countless individuals who have been with our firm for many years and each year we take the time to honor those who have reached their 25th Anniversary with Ebby Halliday.

 

Recently, longtime members of the Ebby Halliday family received the 25-Year Pin at a luncheon at Fearing’s at the Ritz-Carlton Dallas honoring their significant contributions to the company. In addition to the honorees, this special event was attended by President and CEO Chris Kelly, Executive Vice President and Director of Sales Offices Betty Misko, Regional Vice Presidents Carolyn Rosson and Malinda Howell, Vice President and Director of Marketing Randall Graham and Chairman Emeritus Mary Frances Burleson.

 

Everyone enjoyed spending time together, reminiscing about their time with the company, and sharing favorite memories. “This special occasion reminds us that our company has longevity and that staff members and sales associates enjoy being here,” says Kelly. “It’s also a great reminder that we are quite a family of caring people.”

This week it was our honor at the Ebby Halliday Companies to host HomeServices of America CEO Gino Blefari. Gino met with Top Producers, leaders and employees from throughout the company during his Texas visit. He also shared words of wisdom gained during his remarkable career and his excitement about all the extraordinary things happening at HomeServices of America and the Ebby Halliday Companies.

 

Blefari has been CEO of HomeServices of America since January 2019. Prior to that he served as chief executive officer of HSF Affiliates. He is the founder of Intero Real Estate Services, based in California’s Silicon Valley, and served as its president and chief executive officer.

 

Blefari began his real estate career in 1982 and for the next 14 years was a top-producing agent averaging 61 homes sold per year. During this time, he not only excelled as a salesperson, but also as a manager and then chief operating officer of Intero. By 2000, he had the top five offices and seven of the top 11 offices within Century 21’s 6,300 worldwide offices.

 

In 2001, he became a senior vice president of NRT, where he began working on a national level. He has more than 25 years of experience in real estate sales, development and management, from local to national operations.

 

In 2014, Blefari was inducted into the Mike Ferry Organization’s Hall of Fame. Out of 5,000 mentors across the country, he was presented with the Mentor of the Year Award in 2012 by The Buffini Company. Additionally, he was honored with RISMedia’s National Homeownership Award for “outstanding achievements among residential real estate’s most influential and charismatic leaders.”

Members of the Ebby Halliday Companies leadership team recently gathered for a fun – and productive – team-building event.

 

Held at PINSTACK in Plano, the event was divided into two halves: an interactive session that addressed such topics as, “How can we better support our sales associates?” and “How can we better communicate as an organization?” The collaborative environment produced answers that leadership throughout the organization can implement to create a more successful and creative workplace for all members of the Ebby Halliday Companies.

 

The second half of the event – bowling as team members – provided the opportunity to meet people from throughout the company one might not ordinarily interact with while performing their day-to-day job duties. It was a great opportunity to create genuine connections and lay the foundation for an even brighter future for everyone fortunate enough to be associated with the Ebby Halliday Companies.

Ebby Halliday Realtors has appointed Betsy Cameron sales manager of its Ebby’s Little White House office. Chris Kelly, president and chief executive officer, recently made the announcement.

 

“A fourth-generation Dallasite with 15 years of real estate experience, Betsy brings proven leadership skills and industry expertise to our iconic Little White House Office at the corner of Northwest Highway and Preston Road,” Kelly says. “A natural teacher and mentor who has led other well-known local sales offices, we are very pleased that she has chosen to grow her real estate career with the Ebby Halliday Companies.”

 

Cameron is passionate about the residential real estate business and the professional relationships that she is privileged to enjoy.

 

“I am very relationship-driven,” Cameron says. “Relationships are at the heart of real estate, and I am excited about supporting and serving our Little White House agents. The most important thing for me is to understand how each operates so I can better serve them.”

 

She adds, “My leadership style is, ‘What can I do to help you?’ I want to help agents with networking and ensure that we all enjoy a culture that is collaborative.”

 

As a licensed real estate agent, Cameron became a trusted advisor for clients. She comes by her real estate savvy naturally as the daughter of Janis Wells, who has been in the business for many years. As a successful multimillion-dollar team, Betsy and Janis served clients ranging from families looking for their first and second homes, to out-of-state executives moving into the area.

 

As a sales leader, Cameron is a natural teacher and mentor. “I love to listen and understand how agents work and help them take their business to the next level,” Cameron says.

 

After graduating from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Special Education and prior to entering the real estate profession, Betsy taught at her alma mater, Highland Park High School.

 

Betsy is married to Brad Cameron and is the mother of two sons, one a student at Ole Miss and one at Highland Park High School. She is very involved with Dallas CASA, serving as anadvocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children.

Catherine Sims has been named Vice President of Core Services for the Ebby Halliday Companies. Chris Kelly, president and CEO, recently made the announcement. Ebby’s affiliated core-service companies include Home Team Mortgage, The Lending Partners, Home Team Insurance and Texas Premier Title.

 

When making the announcement, Kelly emphasized the Ebby Halliday Companies’ distinct position in the North Texas marketplace as an organization that meets the needs of its sales associates and clients during the entirety of the real estate transaction.

 

“To ensure this unique distinction and ability remains at the forefront of our business strategy, we have created the role of vice president of core services,” Kelly said. “Catherine Sims possesses an intimate understanding of the strength and capabilities of our core services through her past leadership role within The Lending Partners, where she was frequently at the forefront of connecting and communicating with our sales associates and their clients how our amazing mortgage, title and insurance teams deliver an exceptional experience.”
