The hard-working team at Ebby’s Property Management Division has spent the past year increasing operational efficiencies, expanding its client base and creating opportunities for agents to grow their businesses. Ebby’s Property Management Division is responsible for the day-to-day management of hundreds of single-family homes, townhomes, duplexes and condominiums across North Texas. 

This week marks the one-year anniversary of Mayur Chudasama joining Ebby as director of the division and the changes he and his team have implemented have revolutionized property management at North Texas’ largest residential real estate brokerage.

“I want to thank everyone on our team and throughout the Ebby Halliday Companies for their support over the past year,” Mayur says. “It’s our honor to support the best agents in the business. Operational changes always bring their own set of challenges and I can’t express strongly enough how much we appreciate your support as we have grown our offerings and improved our services over the past year.”

Mayur says three areas of emphasis have been at the forefront since assuming his new role: operational efficiency, expansion and agent education.

Operational Efficiency

Under Mayur’s leadership, Ebby’s property-management clients are benefitting from increased efficiency through updated technology, including a new web-based platform. The division also recently launched a new website for property management. Everything from tenant applications to landlord statements can be accessed online.

Ebby’s Property Management Division is actively growing its partnerships with select third parties, adding convenience for clients and protection for landlords. Just a few examples include a utility concierge service, a pet-screening service for applicants, and an HVAC filter-delivery program.

Expansion

Within the first few months of assuming his new role, Mayur visited each Ebby Halliday Companies sales office to meet directly with agents and to highlight the division’s Property Management services. 

“I have really enjoyed getting to know our agents, whether in-person or virtually, and spending some time with them introducing and reinforcing the range of property-management services we offer,” Mayur says.

In the past year, Ebby’s Property Management Division has grown – and is actively growing – its footprint in North Texas. The division manages approximately 600 properties across the region.

Thirteen agents who focus almost exclusively on leasing and property management serve such cities as Dallas, Frisco, Plano, Arlington, Denton, Sherman and McKinney, among others. In addition to strong local and national connections, some of these professionals have also developed relationships with international clients, helping them find D-FW properties and manage those properties.

As the region grows, corporate suites and short-term leasing will present additional opportunities for future growth, Mayur says. To better serve these valued clients, Ebby’s Corporate Suites Division is now part of the Property Management Division.

Agent Education

Real estate is an ever-changing business and staying on the cutting edge is critical to a real estate professional’s success. Providing education and training is a top priority at the Ebby Halliday Companies.

Under Mayur’s leadership, Ebby’s Leasing class has been revamped. Any agent who wants to be involved in leasing is required to take the new class.

“In this ever-changing business, an agent who stays on the cutting edge through effective education is vitally important to his or her client, and ultimately to a successful transaction,” Mayur says. “Our in-house training programs are recognized as the best in the industry – and I’m proud to say that we offer our agents the highest referral fee possible – typically a half-month’s rent.” 

It’s been a busy year in Ebby’s Property Management Division and Mayur says the future is increasingly bright. 

“We want to expand our number of property managers and the number of properties we manage, all while maintaining the high standards we have set for ourselves and that our clients have come to expect,” he says. “We are grateful for the support we receive daily and are intensely focused on delivering our clients a world-class property-management experience.”

Tiffany Anderson Named McKinney Sales Leader

Tiffany Anderson has been named Sales Leader of Ebby Halliday Realtors’ McKinney OfficeChris Kelly, president and chief executive officer of the Ebby Halliday Companies, and Malinda Howell, vice president of brokerage, made the announcement earlier today.

A licensed residential real estate agent since 2003, Anderson was most recently an agent in Ebby’s Plano Office as well as the Agent Development Director for the company’s 190 – Richardson Office.

“Tiffany joined Ebby Halliday in 2010 and has built a successful real estate practice by consistently going above and beyond for clients,” Kelly says. Adds Howell, “Tiffany has also been an effective mentor for many of our agents. She has the perfect background and experience to fulfill this important role.”

Anderson succeeds Kathy Darrow, a respected industry veteran who has led Ebby’s McKinney Office for over nine years and was recently named Texas Referral Alliance Liaison and Contract and Transaction Advisor for the Ebby Halliday Companies. 

Raised in real estate, Anderson’s journey began as a small child observing her late grandmother as she worked as a professional agent. A natural problem solver, innovative and people-oriented, Tiffany followed in her grandmother’s footsteps. A successful business built on referrals is testament to the personal service and professionalism Tiffany has delivered throughout her career. 

A longtime agent whose transition into management has been an organic one, Anderson says she is, at heart, a servant leader. “I get a lot of joy from motivating people and I have always approached work as service. I want to serve our McKinney agents and the wonderful community I’m privileged to call home.” 

Anderson, who holds the Graduate, Realtor Institute designation, is a graduate of St. Edwards University and a resident of McKinney. She is an active community volunteer and is married with three boys who are themselves active in sports and the outdoors. She enjoys yoga, dancing, gardening, boating, biking and traveling, as well as playing sports with her boys and watching them play sports. 

“I couldn’t be more excited to take on this new role in Ebby’s McKinney Office,” says Anderson. “I consider it a new way to give back to the industry I love, and I am very much looking forward to using the professional skills I have developed to help new and established agents take their real estate careers to the next level.”

The Ebby Halliday Companies officially broke ground on their new Prosper | Celina Office on June 30. Members of Ebby’s current Prosper | Celina Office and company leadership gathered at the site of the new office, 1360 N. Preston Road in Prosper, for the ceremonial groundbreaking.

Jennifer Young Named Sales Leader of Ebby’s Preston Keller Office


Jennifer Young is the new sales leader of Ebby Halliday Realtors’ Preston Keller OfficeChris Kelly, president and chief executive officer of the Ebby Halliday Companies, and Carolyn Rosson, vice president of brokerage, recently made the announcement.

“Jennifer brings a thorough understanding of all aspects of real estate, from marketing and lead generation to coaching agents and teams to reach their full potential,” Kelly says. “She is the ideal person to succeed Vivian Black, who has been an incredible leader of our Preston Keller Office for many years.”

Adds Rosson, “We are very excited to welcome Jennifer to her new role with our Preston Keller Office and we are so grateful for Vivian’s leadership and friendship over the years.”

Black, who recently announced her intention to retire, began her real estate career with Ebby Halliday Realtors in 1991 and has led the Preston Keller Office for 29 years.

“Vivian Black has been an extraordinary example for all of us at the Preston Keller Office and I am grateful for the opportunity to lead an office that is so widely respected,” says Young.  

A graduate of Louisiana State University, Young worked as a registered nurse before becoming a real estate agent in 2014. When she moved to Dallas from Louisiana her Realtor was Mike Harvey. Young says Harvey, with his enthusiasm for real estate, convinced her to become an agent. She joined The Harvey Team in 2014, and when the team moved to Ebby in 2015 she joined them in the Preston Keller Office.

“I knew I could learn so much from working with Mike and Pam Harvey,” Young says. “They are so widely admired and respected. Both Mike and Pam have been great mentors and so helpful to me over the years.”

Young says while learning the real estate business from Mike and Pam, she began to notice how much she also enjoys teaching and mentoring. 

“I’m a servant leader at heart,” she says. “As a former nurse, I love to take care of people and I get a lot of joy from watching others succeed. I’m excited about growing our Preston Keller Office to the next level and I am very much looking forward to working with each of our agents on their business plans and helping them achieve their goals.”

Young and her husband, Chris, are the proud parents of four children, ages 16 to 21. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, volunteering in the community and cheering on the LSU Tigers.

Ebby Halliday Companies Join CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion


In 2019, the Ebby Halliday Companies joined a growing coalition of CEOs pledging to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace. President & CEO Chris Kelly is among the more than 1,000 CEOs who have come together for CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion, committing himself and the Ebby Halliday Companies to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

“By signing on to this commitment, the Ebby Halliday Companies pledged to take action to cultivate a workplace where diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed and respected, and where employees feel encouraged to discuss diversity and inclusion,” Kelly says. 

The Ebby Halliday Companies also appointed longtime leaders within the company Sylvia Sotelo Kidd and Pamela Young Diversity & Inclusion Officers. Since their appointments they have worked diligently to diversify recruitment and ensure that the Ebby Halliday Companies’ offerings reach the widest and most-inclusive group of homeowners and buyers.   

Organizations joining the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion pledge have taken a step toward effecting positive change, exchanging tangible learning opportunities, creating collaborative conversations and fostering innovation.

“Diversity and inclusion are vital to the improvement of our work culture, the future of our business and industry, as well as the future of the region we are privileged to call home,” says Kelly. “As the market leader in North Texas, it is our responsibility to take action.”

Kelly says that the Ebby Halliday Companies have recognized that the Southern Sector of Dallas County is underserved by residential real estate brokerages and affiliated services, such as mortgage, insurance and title, and they are actively working to expand their presence in the Southern Sector, including the construction of a new office in Cedar Hill. 

“As we expand our Southern Sector presence, we will increase homeownership opportunities and provide expert representation for the area’s buyers and sellers,” says Kelly. “As part of this commitment, we are dedicated to expanding the diversity of our employees and sales force.”

Jason Bell Named Sales Leader of Ebby’s Flower Mound/Lewisville Office


Jason Bell has been named sales leader of Ebby Halliday Realtors’ Flower Mound/Lewisville OfficeChris Kelly, president and chief executive officer of the Ebby Halliday Companies, and Carolyn Rosson, vice president of brokerage, recently made the announcement.

Formerly an agent with Ebby’s Plano/Willow Bend Office, Bell was most recently the Agent Development Director in that office and the company’s Preston Plano Parkway Office

“Jason joined Ebby Halliday in 2016 and has built a successful real estate practice by consistently going above and beyond for clients,” Kelly says. Adds Rosson, “Jason has also been an effective mentor for many of our agents. He has a thoughtful communication style that makes him very relatable to the agents he serves.”

Bell succeeds Becky Garrison as sales leader of Ebby’s Flower Mound/Lewisville Office. Garrison has chosen to return to being a full-time agent in the office Bell will lead.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as sales leader of this office, working with some of the best agents in the business,” Garrison says. “I have missed, however, the everyday interaction with clients in real estate sales and want to return to that side of the business. I believe that Jason is just the right person for this job. He brings new energy and ideas and is great with education, technology and social media. Diane Hausler Named Sales Leader of Ebby’s Plano Office


Diane Hausler is the new sales leader of Ebby Halliday Realtors’ Plano Office. Chris Kelly, president and chief executive officer of the Ebby Halliday Companies, and Malinda Howell, vice president of brokerage, recently made the announcement. Hausler will also continue in her role as sales leader of Ebby’s Allen Office.

“We are thrilled Diane has accepted this additional responsibility and know she is absolutely the right person at the right time in just the right roles,” says Kelly. “She is the perfect person to succeed Kay Wright, who has been an incredible leader within our organization and a trusted friend and partner to all of us. Kay recently earned the National Association of Realtors’ Realtor Emeritus status and we are so grateful for her leadership over the years.”

Wright, who recently announced her intention to retire from the Plano sales leader position at the end of June, began her real estate career in 1977 and has led Ebby’s Plano Office for 18 years. In an interesting circle of events, Wright opened Ebby’s Allen Office while managing its Plano Office and Hausler was her office administrator in Plano before becoming sales leader of the Allen Office. 

“Kay Wright was an amazing mentor and I’m looking forward to following in her footsteps,” says Hausler, who started as an Ebby agent in 2002 and has been the sales leader of the Allen Office for 10 years. 

A servant leader, Hausler enjoys mentoring new and experienced agents and helping them grow their business. 

“I always try to place myself in an agent’s position,” she says. “I am ever-mindful of their needs, the needs of our valued clients and the needs of our communities.”

With over 20 years of experience in real estate sales and leadership, Hausler is known for developing positive and supportive cultures. As a graduate of the Texas Realtor Leadership Program and a Broker associate, her goal is to provide the training and mentorship necessary to develop successful agents. She holds the National Association of Realtors’ At Home with Diversity designation, as well as the Accredited Buyer Representative and e-Pro designations.

Hausler, who has deep Texas roots, has been married to her husband for 38 years. The couple share three children and four grandchildren. When not working (which is not often), she enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.

“I am honored and excited to take on this expanded leadership role,” Hausler adds. “I’m looking forward to continuing to build on our Plano office’s extraordinary success and growing our brand as Ebby Halliday celebrates 75 years of serving North Texas.”

Decena Named VP of Corporate Real Estate Services


Harold Decena has been named Vice President of Corporate Real Estate Services for the Ebby Halliday Companies. Chris Kelly, president and chief executive officer of the Ebby Halliday Companies, and Betsy Cameron, vice president of business initiatives, recently made the announcement.

“Harold is a widely admired veteran of the relocation services industry,” Kelly said. “Having led relocation departments at two firms, as well as having effectively served the Ebby Halliday Companies for the past several years in a relocation-services management capacity, Harold is the perfect person to succeed Karen Greene, one of the industry’s most-admired professionals.”

Greene, who recently announced her intention to retire at the end of June, has been a relocation director in North Texas for 35 years. Having long planned to retire in 2020, she has mentored Decena with the goal of a seamless transition in mind.

Greene says that among the things she has most enjoyed about working at the Ebby Halliday Companies are the respect the iconic brand commands nationwide and its long-established relocation department.

“I also enjoyed that every day was different,” Greene says. “In the relocation business, you deal with human beings and a very important part of their lives – their homes. I loved working our agents and the years flew by for me.”

Decena will lead one of the nation’s most-respected and largest in-house Relocation Departments.

“I’m excited to be associated with a company that has deeply established roots,” Decena says. “I consider it an honor to help further the visibility Karen and our team have built in the relocation referral landscape.

“My leadership style is performance and data driven – it’s all about the results,” Decena says. “I want every member of our department to have the tools necessary to succeed. I genuinely want to help each team member achieve his or her goals. I see myself as their partner in achieving success.
