Kristi Davis Named Sales Manager of Ebby’s Frisco Office

 

Ebby Halliday Realtors has appointed Kristi Davis sales manager of its Frisco Office. Mary Frances Burleson, president and chief executive officer of the Ebby Halliday Companies, made the announcement.

 

“Kristi brings extensive sales and management experience, including recently leading both our Irving/Las Colinas/Coppell and Flower Mound/Lewisville offices, as well as a strong desire to assist our Frisco agents in taking their careers to the next level,” Burleson says. “A recipient of the Easterwood Cup Broker/Manager of the Year Award presented by the MetroTex Association of Realtors, Kristi offers a long history of distinguished service to our industry and community.”

Ebby Halliday Companies’ Associates closed more than $900 million worth of Dallas-Fort Worth and North Texas residential real estate during the month of June, setting an all-time monthly sales record for the company. Ebby Halliday Realtors recently opened a new office to serve the residential real estate needs of the Cedar Creek Lake area, an approximately 1 ½ hour drive from Dallas County. The office is located at 314 W. Main St. in Gun Barrel City, Texas.

Millennials are Flocking to Dallas

 

 

Dallas is one of several cities in the U.S. that millennials are increasingly calling home, according to RISMedia. Due to high employment rates, strategic settings and great investment opportunities for housing, the below cities have become beacons for those in their 20s and 30s. Says RISMedia:

 

Dallas

Dallas continues to grow each year and attract young out-of-towners due to its job growth rate of 3.9 percent and median home price of $175,000. The big city boasts plenty of shopping opportunities and attractions for those who want to stay busy without spending a lot to live close to the downtown area. The city hasn’t attempted to control ride sharing, and many places are also easy to access by walking. There are also neighboring cities that are affordable to live in for those who don’t mind commuting to work.

 

Salt Lake City, Utah 

The high job growth in Salt Lake City makes it a desirable place for young adults to live as they look to obtain steady employment. The city is affordable to live in and has a median home price of $233,000 with job growth of 2.4 percent. Salt Lake City also has a lower unemployment rate compared to other markets throughout the U.S. with 2.9 percent, which is below the national average by a few points.

 

Seattle, Wash.

Seattle is considered to be a hot spot for millennials, which make up 24.1 percent of the population. Its busy nightlife scene and generous median incomes of $67,000 make it an ideal place to live for younger generations. It also boasts a job growth rate of 10.8 percent. The beautiful views of the water and the long list of activities and attractions in the area are additional reasons that many millennials relocate to the city.

 

Austin, Texas

Millennials are drawn to Austin for its real estate market, which includes homes that have a median price of $226,000. The job growth is also 4.2 percent, and it’s the second top city in the country for the number of jobs that are becoming available. Some of the top companies that are run out of Austin include Dell, Apple, and Google, making it known as “Silicon Hills.” The average median income is also $58,932, which allows many young adults to afford to purchase their first home.

 

Charlotte, N.C.

Charlotte is one of the best places to live in North Carolina with 14 percent of the population between the ages of 25 and 34. Many of the youth are post-college graduates who have relocated to the city to seek employment and purchase a home in a neighborhood that has a suburban family profile. The draw of millennials is also causing many companies to relocate their headquarters to Charlotte in hopes of hiring talented employees.

A new study lists several North Texas cities among the best places to raise a family in Texas. SmartAsset looked at 87 cities with a population greater than 25,000 for the study, and measured them on 12 metrics including family poverty rate, median household income, high school graduation rate and violent crime rate. Six North Texas cities took the 2-7 spots in the list. Each of these cities is served by Ebby Halliday Realtors.

The quality of local schools is one of the most important factors when deciding where to raise a family. McKinney ranks high on this list because students from this city are some of the highest achieving in the state. McKinney ranked first for both percent of students who take AP exams (almost 40 percent) and percent of those students who score 3 or better on their AP exams (76.7 percent).

Mansfield

Mansfield is one of the most livable cities for families in our top 10. It has a very low family poverty rate of 4.4 percent and a large population of young people. Thirty-two percent of the population is under the age of 20. Mansfield is also one of the safest cities in our study. According to FBI data, Mansfield has a crime rate of 1,617 per 100,000 residents, the fifth-best score in our top 10.
