The Rife House by Fooshee & Cheek, 1937
It’s fall in North Texas and that means some of the nation’s foremost home tours will be taking place right in our “backyard.”
This Saturday, October 25, you’ll definitely want to be a part of Preservation Dallas’ 2014 Fall Architectural Tour: Grounds for Preservation, which highlights historic estates and their landscapes.
The day begins at the Angelika Film Center in Mockingbird Station with a continental breakfast and a symposium featuring architect Cole Smith, landscape architect John Armstrong and historian/author Michael Hazel. Ebby Halliday Realtors is proud to be the symposium’s sponsor as well as the sponsor of The Rife House, a Fooshee & Cheek-designed Highland Park mansion on beautiful Belfort Avenue.
Following the symposium you’ll have the opportunity to tour The Rife House and three other distinctive estates and their grounds. Patron-level tour tickets are available to Preservation Dallas members and include access to the spectacular Philip Johnson-designed Beck House on Strait Lane.
