Golf Tournament Benefits Texas Scottish Rite Hospital

Golf Tournament Benefits Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Frisco

Ebby’s Frisco Office invites you to participate in its 9th-Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Stonebriar Country Club on Monday, September 18. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will benefit Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Frisco. Recognizing the growing need, Texas Scottish Rite is building a new ambulatory care center in Frisco, at the corner of Lebanon Road and the Dallas North Tollway.

“Ebby Frisco is proud to partner with Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, which cares for children with orthopedic conditions, as well as certain related neurological and learning disorders, regardless of the family’s ability to pay,” says Kristi Davis, sales manager of Ebby’s Frisco Office.

Sponsorship of Ebby’s 9th-Annual Ebby Frisco Charity Golf Tournament offers a great experience for players while also providing the opportunity to advertise their company, says Davis. Most importantly, all support from this tax-deductible event will be directly donated to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Frisco.

“Participants in the tournament will enjoy an exceptional golfing event,” says Davis. “There will be raffles, food, drinks and prizes – all in a fantastic environment that will be enjoyable for all.”

“Even if you don’t golf, you’re invited to come to the awards dinner, as well as the live and silent auctions at Stonebriar Country Club,” says Davis. “It’s sure to be a fun time benefiting a great cause, and is only $35. You may also attend the silent auction only for a $10 donation.”

Sonny Moyers Honored for Excellence

 Sonny Moyers Honored for Excellence

The Dallas Builders Association has named Ebby Frisco Associate Sonny Moyers the McSam Realtor of the Year. This prestigious award recognizes Moyers’ extraordinary contribution to the North Texas real estate market, particularly in the new-construction arena.

Moyers was one of only three finalists for the McSam Realtor of the Year category. He is a managing partner of the O’Dea Moyers Group, a five-person team that consistently ranks as one of the highest-producing teams at Ebby Halliday. Moyers has been named to the Ebby Halliday Honor Roll for 15 consecutive years.

“Sonny has been a true leader in our fast‐growing community,” Frisco Mayor Maher Maso said. “He has significantly impacted the arts in Frisco. Sonny has the ability to bring groups of people together for a common cause and empower and lead them to goals that truly make an impact. Sonny planted the seeds that Frisco needed to grow into the successful city it is today. He had the vision and ability to make a difference.”

Moyers is well-known for his exceptional service to clients, in-depth knowledge of the new-home construction process, and high sales volume with North Texas homebuilders. In 2014, he sold 55 homes with a sales volume exceeding $26 million. Half of those homes were new construction.

America’s Fastest-Growing Suburb is …

The Fastest-Growing Suburb in America

Pop quiz: Name five of the fastest-growing suburban cities in the country.

Give yourself a point if you came up with Frisco, Texas. Add another if you named Carmel, Ind. Ditto for Sugar Land, Texas, South Jordan, Utah, and Franklin, Tenn.

Frisco, about 25 minutes north of Dallas, has been named one of the country’s best cities in which to live by both CNN and Forbes in the past five years. Many people — 136,000, at last count — agree, pushing the city’s growth rate from 2012-2013 to 6.5 percent, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Before then — from 2000-2010 — Frisco’s growth was an amazing 247 percent, taking the city from 33,714 residents to 116,989.

Maher Maso, the city’s mayor, says it’s all been part of a plan. “When I moved here in 1992, we had 6,000 people and one blinking yellow light — and not much else,” he remembers. “Our growth hasn’t been an overnight thing. We’ve planned for it.”

Tony Felker, president/CEO of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce agrees, “We’re aware and proud of the growth, but there’s a concerted effort to ensure the growth by itself isn’t the thing we’re most focused on. We want to make sure it’s smart, sustainable, and quality growth.” At Ebby Halliday Realtors, we’re appreciative of these very qualities. Simply put, we’re bullish on Frisco and all of North Texas.

If you’d like to learn more about why Frisco is so attractive (hint: education, location, small-town values and a wide variety of great homes), Associates from our Frisco Office would love to fill in the blanks. To get started, visit frisco.ebby.com.
