Buying or Selling a Home is Life-Changing

Buying or Selling a Home is Life-Changing

Ebby Halliday, the founder of Ebby Halliday Realtors and an icon in the real estate industry, famously said, “The Constitution of the United States guarantees your right to own the land under your feet, to sell, and to develop it. Whether you want to become an investor, a real estate agent, or a homeowner, real estate is the basis of the American dream.”

Ebby passed away in late 2015 at the age of 104 but that sentiment is still central to our core mission of transforming and elevating the home buying and selling process into the wonderful life-changing experience it can be.

Most of our clients don’t buy and sell homes very often. It’s relatively unknown territory to them. But it’s our native territory, since 1945. We know the landscape. There’s no trail we haven’t been down before. We are here to help you fully experience one of the biggest, most joyful events of your life.

We’re not going to sugarcoat it: Buying or selling a home can be complicated, sometimes very complicated. Fortunately an Ebby Halliday Realtor is here to guide you through the process.

It’s also true that in today’s hyper-competitive North Texas real estate market it’s more important than ever to choose the right agent for your needs. To get started, visit ebby.com.

Culinary Celebration Benefits Southlake Schools

Dragons of the Caribbean

Ebby Halliday Realtors, its affiliated title company, Texas Premier Title, and numerous Ebby Southlake agents are proud to sponsor the Carroll Education Foundation’s 19th-annual Culinary Celebration.

The fundraiser, which raises money to support the students and teachers of Southlake Carroll Independent School District, takes place at The Hilton Southlake Town Square on September 12, from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. It will feature 24 metroplex chefs, specialty wines and cocktails, live and silent auctions, a big board and more.

This year’s event is themed “Dragons of the Caribbean.” Auction items include a Longhorn calf, a vintage Jurassic Park pinball machine and opportunities to serve as Southlake Mayor for the Day and to flip the switch on the Southlake Town Square holiday lights.

Tickets, priced at $150 each or $250 per couple, are available here.

Trees Add Beauty, Value to Your Home

Trees Add Beauty, Value to Your Home

Trees don’t ask for much — dirt, water, sunlight. Yet they provide many benefits for you and your home: They add beauty and value to your property, cut your energy bills with the shade they provide, provide a home to wildlife, and improve the air you breathe.

To get the full benefits from your trees, choose the right one and plant it in the right location. Planting a tree that sheds its leaves annually on the west side of your house provides cooling shade in the summer. In winter, after it loses its leaves, the same tree will let in sunlight that cuts heating bills.

If you’re planting a new tree, think about its fully grown size and shape before you dig. Roots too close to your home could damage the foundation or block sewer lines. The wrong tree in the wrong place could actually lower your home’s appraised value.

Southlake Office Celebrates Grand Opening

We’re excited to announce that Ebby Southlake Associates and staff, corporate executives, clients and guests, including Southlake Mayor Pro-Tem Laura Hill, members of the Southlake City Council and representatives from the Southlake Chamber of Commerce, celebrated the grand opening of Ebby’s brand-new Southlake Office this morning! The celebration included an official ribbon-cutting for our beautiful new, more than 12,000-square-foot office at 1575 E. Southlake Blvd., across from Southlake Town Square.

“This beautiful new office is built for the future,” says Ron Burgert, chief financial officer of the Ebby Halliday Companies. “Built from the ground up, it offers a superior location in the heart of Southlake and is a statement of our commitment to serving Tarrant County for many years to come.”

The exquisitely finished-out office replaces our longtime, approximately 8,000-square-foot Southlake Office. Ebby Halliday has served Southlake-area homebuyers and sellers since 1985.

“We are extremely happy with the way our new Southlake Office turned out,” says Southlake Sales Manager Carolyn Rosson. “I want to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped bring this extraordinary new office to reality. Ebby Halliday has been part of the Southlake community for nearly 30 years and has distinguished itself as a valued partner for our clients and a leader in luxury real estate. We are so excited about the future of this great city.”

Adds Mary Frances Burleson, president and CEO of the Ebby Halliday Companies, “We’re proud of our commitment to this beautiful part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. We look forward to serving current and future residents in the manner they deserve for many years to come.”
