Pantone® recently unveiled its Color of the Year, what it describes as “a symbolic color selection; a color snapshot of what we see taking place in our global culture that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude.”

This year’s color selection? Pantone 15-0343, otherwise known as Greenery.

Described by Pantone as “a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade,” Greenery is reminiscent of the outdoors and is supposed to inspire consumers to “take a deep breath, oxygenate, and reinvigorate.”

While it’s never a bad idea to decorate your home with fresh plants, here are some alternative green options that will bring life into your décor.

2016 Colors of the Year: Rose Quartz and Serenity

The color experts at Pantone recently revealed their choice for Color of the Year for 2016. And, to our surprise, they chose TWO – Rose Quartz and Serenity. Expect to see these colors make serious statements in the fashion and home industries.

“Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace,” says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.

Shay Geyer of IBB Design Fine Furnishings shows us sophisticated ways to incorporate these color trends into our home.
