Different people consume media in different ways.

At Ebby Halliday Realtors – the No. 1 independent residential real estate firm in Texas by sales volume – we’re proud to have a talented team of marketing, advertising and public relations experts who believe strongly in this principle, and we’re equally proud to support our agents and their marketing efforts in a broad range of media.

“Simply put, Ebby agents and their listings enjoy unmatched marketing resources,” says Randall Graham, vice president and director of marketing.

The department Graham leads is housed in the new, 15,000-square-foot Ebby Halliday Education and Marketing Center, and includes seasoned full-time marketing, advertising and public relations experts, graphic artists and designers, writers and editors, digital specialists, and a videographer.

In addition to time-tested, traditional marketing efforts, Ebby agents and their listings benefit from robust social media content, including frequent blog, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Google+ and Twitter posts. Ebby’s Facebook page has gained more than 17,000 followers and the Ebby Blog is one of the most popular real estate blogs in Texas.

Ebby.com is one of the most-visited residential real estate sites in America. Offering a responsive, mobile-first approach, the site was built with mobility in mind. Among its features are real-time property alerts, allowing users to be the first to know when properties become available. In addition, each home listed with Ebby Halliday benefits from its own, free Individual Property Website.  Ebby agents also enjoy branded websites, which harness the power of ebby.com, yet offer many options for agent customization.

Many North Texans are aware that the award-winning ebby.com offers state-of-the-art features for buying or selling a home, but did you know it’s also one of the area’s best sources for information well beyond homes and housing?

The Ebby Blog offers such categories as DFW Daily, profiling events in the D-FW area; Fabulous Finds, highlighting great homes available in North Texas; and Helpful Hints, offering everything from insight on the latest paint colors to apps that help around the house.

Named the Best Real Estate App in America by the Web Marketing Association, the Ebby Halliday Realtors app provides information in a natural way – starting with a map, not a menu. Featuring the latest in augmented reality, it’s perfect for buyers on the go.

“While we offer a plethora of innovative marketing and advertising for our agents and their listings, we firmly believe that in real estate it all comes down to agents,” Graham says. “And Ebby Halliday Realtors has a remarkable group of agents who are ready to serve.”

Now Is the Time to Find Your North Texas Realtor

Now Is the Time to Find Your North Texas Realtor

The North Texas region’s attractive quality of life, strong economy and low cost of living ensure D-FW will continue its steady rise to prominence among the world’s leading metropolitan areas in 2017. If you want to join in on the fun as a North Texas home buyer or seller, now is the time to start looking for a Realtor.

This process is different for everyone, but below are a few things to keep in mind:

Experience – Look to agents who have put time into their career and the neighborhoods in which they work. This can mean different things, like trusting someone who has spent years in the business or someone who grew up in the area.

Personality and Interests – Try to do some background work on a potential agent. Many have bio pages, LinkedIn accounts, social media pages, and online reviews. All of these can be helpful, but remember that not having one or the other doesn’t have a direct correlation to how “good” a Realtor is.

Career type – Is being a Realtor the person’s full-time career? If you’re on a time schedule, you’ll want to pick someone who’s in the industry full-time.

The numbers – If you’re a buyer, don’t choose an agent just because their commission is lower. If you’re a seller, don’t choose them just because they agree with you on how much your home should be listed for. We’ll say two things to justify these points – you get what you pay for, and, in real estate, there’s no telling how much your home will really and truly sell for at the end of the day.

Age – Don’t dismiss an agent based on their age, young or old. What makes an agent the right fit for you is not often their age, but their love of their profession, dedication to you, and the points listed above.

Dallas-Fort Worth Housing Market Sizzling Hot

Dallas-Fort Worth Housing Market Sizzles

Wow, it sure did get hot fast this year! Summer has barely unfurled, but the North Texas residential real estate market is already delivering blistering sales in June. In Dallas-Fort Worth, homes are moving off the market 13.6 percent faster than they did at this time last year as prices continue to hit new record highs.

The average home sales price in North Texas in May was $286,200, 6.3% higher than one year ago. However, much of the effect of higher prices is being offset by mortgage rates that are the lowest we’ve seen in three years.

Is Summer a Good Time to Sell a Home in D-FW?

Is Summer a Good Time to Sell a Home in D-FW?

While it’s been warm (well, actually quite hot) for a while in North Texas, summer “officially” starts today. With sales prices up and few homes for sale, this summer offers homeowners ideal conditions to sell a home in Dallas-Fort Worth. Competition among buyers is heated and multiple offers are common.

Just how hot is the North Texas housing market? Consider that in the past 12 months:

* The average days a home is on the market is down 13.6% to only 38 days.

*  The median sales price is up 8.5%.

*  The number of homes for sale is also down 8.5%, meaning you’ll have less competition.

Simply put: If you’re considering listing your home, this summer offers an extraordinary opportunity. Find your Realtor at ebby.com.

Davis to Manage Flower Mound/Lewisville Office

post

Ebby Halliday Realtors has appointed Kristi Davis sales manager of its Flower Mound/Lewisville Office. Mary Frances Burleson, president and chief executive officer, recently made the announcement.

“Kristi brings extensive sales and management experience, as well as a strong desire to assist our Flower Mound/Lewisville agents in taking their careers to the next level,” Burleson says. “The recipient of the 2015 Easterwood Cup Broker/Manager of the Year Award presented by the MetroTex Association of Realtors, Kristi offers a long history of distinguished service to our industry and community.”

Davis will report to Betty Misko, executive vice president and director of sales offices.

“Kristi has managed Ebby’s Irving/Las Colinas/Coppell Office for the past six years and will continue in that capacity,” Misko says. “I am confident her background will serve her well in our Flower Mound/Lewisville Office. She has an innate understanding of how agents learn, grow and prosper.”

A Dallas-Fort Worth native and graduate of the University of North Texas, Davis has been in real estate since 2002. Having been a top-producing agent she understands the life of a Realtor, the ebbs and flows of the industry, and the importance of lead generation.

“I love what I do,” Davis says. “I feel like I never work a day in my life because I am so passionate about real estate. I am blessed to have had the privilege to manage Ebby’s Irving/Las Colinas/Coppell Office and appreciate the opportunity to also lead our Flower Mound/Lewisville Office.

“The Flower Mound/Lewisville housing market is growing by leaps and bounds,” Davis says. “It shares a lot in common with the Irving market, as far as price point and diversity of offerings. I really look forward to increasing Ebby’s market share in this dynamic area of North Texas.”

An enthusiastic, natural leader who holds a Broker’s License and the Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager Designation, Davis says she is dedicated to supporting all of her agents by providing the cutting-edge tools, professional development and one-on-one coaching necessary to help them grow their careers.

Davis has long been active in the North Texas community. She currently chairs the MetroTex Leadership Academy and is a board member of the Irving Healthcare Foundation. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, reading, and spending time with her nephews.

“I am truly excited about my new position as sales manager of Ebby’s Flower Mound/Lewisville Office,” Davis says. “My door will always be open for our agents – in Flower Mound/Lewisville and in Irving/Las Colinas/Coppell – and our valued clients will reap the benefits.”

Buying or Selling a Home is Life-Changing

Buying or Selling a Home is Life-Changing

Ebby Halliday, the founder of Ebby Halliday Realtors and an icon in the real estate industry, famously said, “The Constitution of the United States guarantees your right to own the land under your feet, to sell, and to develop it. Whether you want to become an investor, a real estate agent, or a homeowner, real estate is the basis of the American dream.”

Ebby passed away in late 2015 at the age of 104 but that sentiment is still central to our core mission of transforming and elevating the home buying and selling process into the wonderful life-changing experience it can be.

Most of our clients don’t buy and sell homes very often. It’s relatively unknown territory to them. But it’s our native territory, since 1945. We know the landscape. There’s no trail we haven’t been down before. We are here to help you fully experience one of the biggest, most joyful events of your life.

We’re not going to sugarcoat it: Buying or selling a home can be complicated, sometimes very complicated. Fortunately an Ebby Halliday Realtor is here to guide you through the process.

It’s also true that in today’s hyper-competitive North Texas real estate market it’s more important than ever to choose the right agent for your needs. To get started, visit ebby.com.
