Deep Ellum Wine Walk: Combine wine and shopping this Thursday at the recurring Wine Walk event in Deep Ellum. Purchase your wine passport at the Kettle Art Gallery and prepare to sip and shop throughout the evening. $10 for wine passport. Walk is 5-8 p.m.

 

Friday, October 16

Mid-Cities Greek Fest: Travel to Euless and visit the St. John the Baptist Greek Othodox Church for their 24th annual mid-cities Greek Fest, featuring Greek souvenirs and food, jewelry, dancing, and more! FREE. 11 a.m.

 

Saturday, October 17

Texas Veggie Fair: Head to Reverchon Park to take part in the 6th annual event celebrating all things veggie. Learn about plant-based lifestyles, sample vegan food, experience a local beer garden, listen to live music, watch chef demonstrations, partake in yoga, and hear live speakers. 11 a.m. FREE.

 

Tacolandia: Celebrate the Dallas Observer’s inaugural, outdoor taco-sampling event and festival that will feature Dallas’ best tacos, ranging from urban contemporary to authentic street style – complete with live music, beer and cocktails, and awards for best tacos in various categories. 4 p.m. Tickets begin at $30/person.

 

Sunday, October 18

Pitmasters Picnic: Join Cafe Momentum for their third annual BBQ benefit, part of their pop-up dinner series. Held at Dallas’ Slow Bone, pit masters will cook up some of the best BBQ in the state, accompanied by beer and wine. 5 p.m. $65/person. Purchase tickets here.

Shop, Eat, Drink, PINK: Travel to the Bishop Arts District for their annual Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser, featuring a fashion show, parties, bra-decorating contest and more! Local restaurants will offer discounts, prizes and specials for anyone who purchases a ticket. Craft Beer Tasting: Join the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden a for pre-concert tasting with Lakewood Brewing Company. Truck Yard Chili Cook-Off: Visit the Truck Yard in Dallas’ Lower Greenville area (across from Trader Joe’s) for their inaugural chili cook-off. Guests can taste samples from some of Dallas’ most talented chefs, including Nathan Tate from Rapscallion, Jon Stevens of Stock & Barrel and many more! All proceeds will benefit Angie’s Friends, a local non-profit animal organization that’s dedicated to helping neglected and abused dogs. $25/person (available at door). 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Taste of the Anatole: Celebrate international wine, cuisine and music at this three-day event, featuring hands-on activities like interactive cooking demonstrations, pairing and blending classes, blind tastings and more.
