New Lakewood | Lake Highlands Office Offers One Door to Real Estate Services

On October 22, Ebby Halliday Realtors celebrated the opening of its beautiful new Lakewood | Lake Highlands Office at 6465 E. Mockingbird Lane, Suite 450.

“Located in the same shopping center, Hillside Village, as Ebby’s original Lakewood | Lake Highlands Office, this contemporary new office is built for the future,” says Chris Kelly, president and CEO of the Ebby Halliday Companies. “It offers an exceptional East Dallas location and is a statement of our commitment to serving this popular area – and well beyond – for years to come.”

Ebby’s Lakewood | Lake Highlands team is now enjoying a spacious, contemporary environment that includes cutting-edge technology, larger conference rooms and well-appointed meeting areas.

“This new space offers a sophisticated atmosphere and the latest technology in a much-sought-after East Dallas location with amazing new restaurants and retail space,” says René Barrera, sales leader of Ebby’s Lakewood | Lake Highlands Office. “Our sleek new interior is matched by a newly renovated exterior. We’re thrilled with the way they turned out and can’t wait to share our new space with our agents and valued clients.”

Lakewood | Lake Highlands Office will accommodate approximately 100 agents. It offers “one-door” access to everything you need to buy or sell a home, including brokerage, mortgage, title and insurance homeownership services, ensuring the easiest and most secure real estate experience available, Barrera says.

“We’re proud of our commitment to this unique, extraordinary part of North Texas,” says Barrera. “And , we look forward to serving current and future residents in the manner they have come to expect from Ebby agents for many years to come.”

Throughout 2020, the Ebby Halliday Companies are celebrating 75 years of serving the real estate needs of North Texans and those relocating to the region. It all began in 1945, when one bold woman parlayed her wisdom, generosity, business acumen and endurance into what is today the No. 1 residential real estate brokerage in Texas. The legacy of Ebby Halliday is now amplified by the company’s affiliation with HomeServices of America, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate and the country’s No. 1 residential real estate company.

5 Ways to Warm Your Home for Less

cozy by the fire

Cold weather can test your home’s efficiency and, sometimes, significantly impact your wallet. Instead of giving in to higher energy bills, try these five tips to stay warmer this winter.

Your thermostat

Programming your thermostat to let the temperature drop a bit while you’re away and heat up when you return is an easy way to save big on heating bills.

Let the light shine

Draw back curtains and blinds during the day to allow the sun to come in. A sunny day, even a cold one, will heat up rooms a few degrees.

Fan flip

Ceiling fans don’t necessarily need to be off during colder months. If you flip the directional switch on your fan and choose a low speed it will push the naturally rising hot air in your home back down.

Mind the gaps

Check windows and doors for cracks, gaps and openings. Replace broken glass, framing and caulk where necessary.

Close it up

If you spend more time in some rooms than others, simply close doors to trap the heat. Additionally, if there are rooms you don’t use, shut doors and vents to redirect heat.

Feeling the Love

Heart One

Southwest Airlines added nonstop flights from Dallas Love Field to San Francisco and Oakland today, completing — at least for now — an expansion at the city airport that began in October. Dallas-based Southwest has increased its Love Field flights approximately 30 percent since October to 153 daily departures to 33 cities.

Love Field statistics released this week show what the end of the Wright Amendment has meant for our favorite in-city airport. Passenger airline traffic soared nearly 37 percent at Love in November — the first full month of expanded flights after flying restrictions ended there — from a year earlier.

Much of that increase is from Southwest, but other airlines also have recently expanded at Love. Virgin America, which moved operations from D/FW, offers 13 daily flights to the East and West coasts. And, Delta is now flying larger planes on five daily trips to Atlanta.

At Ebby Halliday, we’re thrilled with the growth of both of North Texas’ premier passenger airports, D/FW International and Love Field. To learn more about all our region has to offer, visit the award-winning ebby.com.
