As a licensed real estate agent, Cameron became a trusted advisor for clients. She comes by her real estate savvy naturally as the daughter of Janis Wells, who has been in the business for many years. As a successful multimillion-dollar team, Betsy and Janis served clients ranging from families looking for their first and second homes, to out-of-state executives moving into the area.
As a sales leader, Cameron is a natural teacher and mentor. “I love to listen and understand how agents work and help them take their business to the next level,” Cameron says.
After graduating from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Special Education and prior to entering the real estate profession, Betsy taught at her alma mater, Highland Park High School.
Betsy is married to Brad Cameron and is the mother of two sons, one a student at Ole Miss and one at Highland Park High School. She is very involved with Dallas CASA, serving as anadvocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children.

As we near the end of another year, we’d like to pause to reflect on the significance of 2015, the year that marked the passing of our company’s founder, Ebby Halliday.
Ebby was 104, but knowing her passing was imminent didn’t make it any easier. Throughout her life Ebby illuminated everything she touched, everything she said and everything she did. In the meantime, she brought light to each of our lives.

Dallas-based residential real estate brokerage Ebby Halliday Real Estate, Inc. announced today it has purchased Fort Worth-based luxury real estate boutique Williams Trew Real Estate. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Williams Trew, which was founded in 2000 by Martha Williams, Joan Trew and Marshall Boyd, will continue to be branded and conduct business under the name Williams Trew, an Ebby Halliday Real Estate Company and will continue to operate out of its current locations in Fort Worth. Ms. Williams and Ms. Trew will continue leadership roles with the company. Mr. Boyd will guide the transition and then pursue other existing business opportunities outside the company.
“Timing is everything, and the timing of this move meets current market needs and positions our company to better serve current and future residents of Fort Worth,” says President & CEO of the Ebby Halliday Companies Mary Frances Burleson. “This acquisition brings together two like-minded companies with many years of residential real estate experience.”

With this transaction, Williams Trew becomes an Ebby Halliday Company and will no longer be affiliated with Sotheby’s International Realty.

Ebby Halliday Real Estate Inc. has again topped the Dallas Business Journal’s annual list of the Largest North Texas Residential Real Estate Brokerages.
The journal’s most-recent list ranked North Texas real estate firms based on closed transactions in 2013. The Ebby Halliday Companies, which includes Ebby Halliday Realtors and Dave Perry-Miller & Associates, closed 19,523 transactions, an almost 20 percent increase over 2012, and approximately 42 percent more transactions than our nearest competitor.
The Ebby Halliday Companies’ approximately $6.4 billion in sales volume in 2013 was 25 percent higher than 2012, which also places the Dallas-based firm No. 1 in sales volume in North Texas.

Dallas-area home prices rose at the slowest rate in 10 months, according to the just-released Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller Home Price Index.
Dallas prices were up 8.6 percent in May from a year ago. Nationwide, prices rose 9.4 percent in the same period.
The lower home price gains had been predicted by analysts who see some moderation after many months of double-digit price increases. Eighteen of the 20 cities Case-Shiller surveys had lower gains in May than in April.
Dallas’ increase was the smallest since July of last year. Earlier this year local home prices were growing at more than 10 percent from a year ago.
The largest annual gains in May were in Las Vegas, 16.9 percent, and San Francisco, 15.4 percent. The smallest increase was in Cleveland, 2.4 percent.
Dallas-area home prices are now at a record level – up more than 9 percent from where they were before the recession. And prices here are almost 25 percent ahead of where they were at the worst of the economic downturn in 2009. Dallas-area prices have been rising in the Case-Shiller study for more than 24 months.
