Christmas in the Square at Frisco Square

Take a walk through the Frisco Square and enjoy the largest choreographed holiday lights and music show in North Texas. The light show runs daily from 6 to 10 p.m. and there’s an outdoor ice rink where you can skate until your heart is content.

 

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens’ The 12 Days of Christmas – Until Dec. 31
Celebrate the holidays like never before at the Dallas Arboretum’s extraordinary Christmas display. From 6 to 9 p.m. on select evenings, the Arboretum lights up with 12 elaborate Victorian-style gazebos inspired by the beloved Christmas carol. DSO on the GO: Enjoy a Concert Close to Home

 

Ebby Halliday Realtors is proud to be a return sponsor of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s community concert series, DSO on the GO. This September brings five opportunities to enjoy one of the world’s foremost orchestras right in your “backyard.”

 

The first DSO on the GO performance of the 2018/19 season takes place September 7 at Cliff Temple Baptist Church in Oak Cliff, where the DSO will perform an all-Bach program, including Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 and Concerto in C minor for Violin and Oboe. The DSO will repeat this program on September 8 at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas and on September 9 at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake. On September 16, the DSO performs The Sounds of Latin America at the Murchison Performing Arts Center at the University of North Texas in Denton and on September 23, the DSO performs Mendelssohn’s Italian at the Tom and Verda Shine Performance Hall at Duncanville High School.

For the third year in a row, Ebby Halliday Realtors is sponsoring the full season of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s DSO on the GO performance series, which brings the world-renowned orchestra to concert halls and churches across North Texas.

 

On Saturday, May 7, at 6:30 p.m., the Dallas Symphony presents Latin Fiesta, an evening of passionate tangoes, blazing dances and pulsating rhythms inspired by Latin America. The performance takes place at Stonebriar Community Church, 4801 Legendary Drive, in Frisco. Ticket are only $19 at mydso.com.

2015 marks the inaugural year of SOLUNA International Music & Arts Festival in Dallas.

 

This year’s theme is Destination (America) in honor of the artists who came to create in freedom, and to those inspired by a uniquely optimistic view that is central to the American experience.

 

Anchored by DSO performances led by Music Director Jaap van Zweden, the three-week festival, which kicked off earlier this week, showcases internationally acclaimed guest soloists, artists and ensembles in visual and performing arts along with the leading companies and ensembles in the Dallas Arts District and beyond.

DSO on the Go

 

This weekend offers another great opportunity to enjoy the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s DSO on the GO concert series. Tomorrow night, at 7:00, the world-renowned orchestra performs at the Murchison Performing Arts Center at the University of North Texas in Denton.

 

The concert is part of the second season of DSO on the GO sponsored by Ebby Halliday Realtors. The series brings the Dallas Symphony to concert halls and churches across North Texas.
