Celebrate Mom at Swiss Avenue Home Tour

It’s one of Dallas’ most time-honored springtime events. Mark your calendar now for the 44th-Annual Swiss Avenue Historic District Mother’s Day Tour, which takes place Saturday, May 13, and Sunday, May 14. Happening this year, just as it does every year, on Mother’s Day Weekend, the tour features seven of the city’s most fabulous early 20th-century homes, including 5500 Swiss, sponsored by Ebby’s Lakewood/Lake Highlands Office.

This fun-filled event also includes an art fair, a vintage auto display, a children’s play area, live entertainment, free horse-drawn carriage rides, complimentary air-conditioned mini-coaches, freshly prepared food, ice-cold beverages, and more.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 the weekend of the event. Children 12 and under are free. Purchase your tickets now at sahd.org.

The much-anticipated 2014 Lakewood Home Festival is almost here. This weekend, November 14-16, six distinctive homes in this premier East Dallas neighborhood will be featured in the popular annual festival, now in its 38th year.

Ebby’s Lakewood Office is again proudly sponsoring the festival’s Ebby Halliday Holiday Market and Café marketplace, which will transform Lakewood Elementary into a festive holiday bazaar guaranteed to delight any shopper — and just in time for holiday shopping season. There will also be kids’ activities such as bounce houses, cookie/cupcake decorating and photos with Santa.

Hosted by the Lakewood Early Childhood PTA, the Lakewood Home Festival is a communitywide event that raises funds for neighborhood schools. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit lakewoodhomefestival.com. Tickets are also available at area Tom Thumb stores.
