Sales Leaders Earn NAR Diversity Certification

Ebby Halliday Companies sales leaders were recently awarded the At Home with Diversity certification from the National Association of Realtors.

Leaders from Ebby Halliday Realtors, Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate and Williams Trew join more than 17,000 other real estate professionals in North America who have earned the certification after completing an 8-hour course addressing topics of diversity, fair housing, and business planning development. The program is designed to meet the nation’s fair housing commitment by educating and equipping NAR’s members with the tools they need to expand homeownership opportunities.

These real estate professionals meet the needs of diverse clients, while maintaining a competitive edge. The At Home with Diversity certification allows Realtors to not only apply the multi-faceted skills and tools they learned in the course to business practices, but conveys to clients they’re dynamic real estate professionals with expertise that transcends cultural barriers.

Facebook Chooses Fort Worth

new post

The good news just keeps coming for Fort Worth: Construction begins today in North Fort Worth’s AllianceTexas development on an almost $1 billion data center for social media giant Facebook.

Facebook’s 110-acre, 750,000-square-foot new Fort Worth data center will start out with a 250,000-square-foot building and be tripled in size over time.

Facebook – which has more than 1.4 billion online users – currently has data centers in Oregon, North Carolina and Iowa.

In other great news for Fort Worth, UNT Health Sciences and TCU announced earlier this week a collaboration for a new medical school.

State of the D-FW Market

State of the D-FW Market

The Dallas-Fort Worth and North Texas residential real estate market continued 2013’s record-setting pace in 2014 with 83,000-plus home sales at a total market value of $20 billion changing ownership.

During the past two years, D-FW-area average home values have increased more than 20 percent. In the same period, the average time it takes to sell a home has decreased to less than 60 days.

The D-FW area continued to lead the nation in job growth in 2014, and the unemployment rate fell to 4.8 percent, remaining well below the national average. At the same time, salaries in the area increased in almost every income sector, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. That’s good news for both the local economy and area residential real estate sales.

It appears 2015 may be another stellar year for the Dallas-Fort Worth and North Texas residential real estate market and for the Ebby Halliday Companies. The recent acquisition of Williams Trew Real Estate by the Ebby Halliday Companies enhances the firm’s presence in Fort Worth and will add significantly to its ability to provide the highest quality of professional real estate services throughout the entire D-FW and North Texas area.

Through November, the Ebby Halliday Companies had participated in 1-of-every-5 D-FW area homes sold through MLS during 2014.

D-FW Posts Nation's Brightest Job Outlook

Dallas-Fort Worth employers plan to hire at a “bullish pace” in the fourth quarter, posting the best employment outlook among the nation’s metropolitan areas, according to the just-released Manpower Employment Outlook Survey.

Some 30 percent of D-FW companies interviewed by Manpower plan to hire more employees from October to December. Nationwide, 19 percent of the employers surveyed plan to hire in the next quarter.
