Buy tickets for Edgefest 2014: Tickets go on sale for Frisco’s annual music festival this Friday, Feb. 14. (hint, hint Valentine’s gift). This year’s line up will include the Avett Brothers, Bastille, Beck, and more.
Have a boozy coffee: Try out what CultureMap describes as an official trend, collaborations between local beer and coffee breweries resulting in coffee beer. It’s now offered by Rahr & Sons Brewing Company/Avoca Coffee, Deep Ellum Brewing Company/Oak Cliff Coffee, and Community Beer/Ascension.
Do a food truck taste test: D Magazine has produced a list of food truck vendors that will be at Truck Yard, in Lower Greenville, this week and weekend. On Friday, there will be an event promoting the new Pompeii Movie during which free movie passes will be given out and you can buy food from the Pompeii DFW Food Truck.
Snoop Dogg at HOB: Tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 12, “Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion” (aka Snoop Doggy Dog aka Snoop, etc.) is playing a show at the House Of Blues. Doors open at 8, the show starts at 9, and tickets are still available.
Death and the Powers: Showing at AT&T Performing Arts Center’s Winspear Opera House from Feb. 12-16, this original Dallas opera is a combination of science fiction and family drama. The sunday performance with be simulcast to locations around the world!
