Frisco Office Raises $65,000 for Children’s Hospital

On October 22, Ebby’s Frisco Office hosted its Seventh-Annual Charity Golf Tournament. One-hundred percent of the approximately $65,000 raised benefit the new, currently under-construction Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Frisco.

The charity tournament and after-party at Frisco’s prestigious Stonebriar Country Club has grown over the years, from 50 golfers to this year’s 132 golfers and more than 265 attendees at the awards dinner and silent auction.

Thank you to everyone involved in our seventh charity golf tournament for their service to our community. Your efforts remind us all of what’s truly important. We’re fortunate to serve a company founded by the legendary Ebby Halliday, whose impact on our community was extraordinary. We’re very happy to honor Ebby’s legacy by continuing to positively impact the North Texas community.

Frisco Office Raises $72,000 for City House

 Frisco blog

Ebby’s Frisco Office recently hosted its Sixth-Annual Charity Golf Tournament. One-hundred percent of the proceeds, which totaled more than $72,000, will benefit City House and its expansion into Frisco. City House provides emergency shelter and transitional residential services to children and young adults who are in need due to abuse, neglect or homelessness.

This year’s charity tournament and after-party were held at Frisco’s prestigious Stonebriar Country Club. The event has grown over the years, from 50 golfers to this year’s 144 golfers and more than 250 attendees at the award dinner and silent auction.

Stonebriar is one of the finest private country clubs in Texas and we were thrilled they once again hosted our charity tournament. Everyone had a great time benefitting a great cause. Their efforts remind us all of what’s truly important.

On November 19, at the Frisco Office’s annual Thanksgiving luncheon, Macaluso and our wonderful Frisco Associates presented City House Director Teresa Keenan with a check for $72,440. Congratulations to everyone involved in this amazing effort!

Katie Gallivan Receives Ebby Yellow Rose Award

      post

Katie Gallivan of Ebby’s Frisco Office is the winner of the 2014 Ebby Yellow Rose Award. The award recognizes exceptional service to the community that has significantly improved the lives of others.

Katie was presented with an Ebby Rose bush, a dozen yellow roses and a crystal award plaque. The Ebby Rose, internationally registered as “Ebby,” was created on the occasion of Founder and Chairman of the Board Ebby Halliday’s 94th birthday and the 60th anniversary of her namesake company to honor the real estate legend’s fondness for wearing yellow and surrounding herself with yellow flowers.

Katie was nominated for the companywide award by fellow agents and staff at Ebby’s Frisco Office for her tireless work as chairman of the office’s annual charity golf tournament benefitting local charities. She has chaired the event for five years and has grown it from 50 golfers to 150 and from $10,000 in net proceeds to this year’s more than $46,000.

“This year our office’s fun-filled charity event benefited City House, which provides emergency shelter and transitional residential services to children and young adults who are in need due to abuse, neglect or homelessness,” says Terri Macaluso, manager of Ebby’s Frisco Office. “The tournament and after-party, held at the prestigious Stonebriar Country Club, raised $46,672 for City House, a three-fold increase over the previous year’s total, which benefited United Way. Proceeds went toward the purchase of the first of two homes planned for Frisco. The first home will open next month.”

While Gallivin is grateful for the award, she is quick to point out that it takes a team to organize and run a successful charity event. “I am very honored to receive the Yellow Rose Award. I had no idea I was even nominated,” she says. “It takes the entire Ebby Frisco team to pull this off – we have a great team and everybody works together. Our goal for next year’s tournament is $75,000.”

Congratulations Katie, and thanks to everyone at the Frisco Office for making a big difference for City House!
