Spring means many things to many people, but one thing it means to those of us who love homes is it’s time for home tours. At Ebby Halliday Realtors, we’re proud to be the presenting sponsor of the 26th Annual Hollywood Home Tour, which takes place the weekend of April 28-30.

This year’s tour includes five historic homes, open Friday, April 28, from 6 to 7 p.m. for a special Candlelight Tour, and Saturday and Sunday, April 29-30, from noon to 5 p.m. It also features Hollywood Art in the Park on Sunday, where you’ll experience an outdoor marketplace with local artisans and craftspeople, delicious food trucks and music – all set in this Old East Dallas neighborhood’s beautiful Lindsley Park.

Hollywood/Santa Monica, with approximately 750 homes, was mostly built in the 1930s. It stands between the Santa Fe Trail to the west and north, East Grand Avenue to the east and Valencia Street to the south. The neighborhood is a conservation district and has one of the largest collections of stone-embellished Tudor homes in the nation. Hollywood/Santa Monica’s location makes it close to many things, including downtown Dallas, yet it offers an unusually peaceful setting of rolling hills and tree-lined streets – a sort of city within the city.

East Dallas Is Worth Celebrating

East Dallas is Worth Celebrating

At Ebby Halliday, we’re proud of our deep East Dallas roots and equally proud to be the only real estate company sponsor of “East Dallas Is.” This unique, organic community project recently rolled out a new logo and tagline and we’re happy to help get the word out: East Dallas Is the Lake & Garden District.

If you’re a resident of East Dallas or a fan of this unique part of town, you’re invited to drop by Ebby’s Lakewood/Lake Highlands Office and pick up your free “East Dallas Is” yard sign, which sports the beautiful new Lake & Garden District logo. Ebby’s Lakewood/Lake Highlands Office is conveniently located at 6441 E. Mockingbird Lane at the northeast corner of Mockingbird and Abrams.

Whether you live in East Dallas, are considering moving there, or just admire a community with a lot of spirit and soul, we encourage you to support this eclectic, diverse and beautiful part of North Texas. If you’re just visiting the Lake & Garden District, stay awhile – you’ll be glad you did.
