HPISD Celebrates Centennial Anniversary

Centennial Co-Chairs Bruce and Leeanne Hunt with Ebby Halliday and President & CEO Mary Frances Burleson during halftime of a Scots football game.

On Sunday, October 19, the Highland Park Independent School District will celebrate its 100th Anniversary with a fun-filled block party. The Ebby Halliday Family of Companies, which includes Ebby Halliday Realtors and Dave Perry-Miller & Associates, is the Presenting Sponsor of the HPISD Centennial Anniversary celebration.

The big event takes place from 2 to 5 p.m. at Highlander Stadium and the Multi-Purpose Activities Center across the street. Grassmere Lane will be blocked off for the party, which will feature food trucks, a Kids Corner with bounce houses and more, student performances, the Scots Museum, and a special ceremony at 3:30 p.m. that will include our President & CEO Mary Frances Burleson, a recipient of the HPISD Distinguished Alumni Award.

Congratulations to everyone involved with the HPISD — students, teachers, administrators, parents and volunteers – on 100 years of excellence in education!
