We’ve got another gorgeous weekend ahead of us in D-FW. If you’re looking for a way to take advantage of the warm temperatures and celebrate the weekend the way it was meant to be celebrated, check out the list below. From the Mavs’ Playoff game and Mayfest 2014 to dog-friendly fun and Cinco de Mayo parties, we’ve got events for everyone!

Mavs Playoff Game: Tonight, Friday, May 2, the Mavs play game 6 against the Spurs at 7 p.m. This is a big one, since the Spurs currently lead the Mavs 3-2 in the series. There will be no shortage of places to watch the game around D-FW, so, wherever you are, tune-in. Go Mavs!

Dallas Guitar Festival: Three days of music and shopping will commence Friday, May 2, at Fair Park in celebration of one of music’s most famous instruments, the guitar. Going on until Sunday, May 4, there will be three different buildings dedicated to showcasing 800 booths and 60 performers.

Texas Scottish Festival & Highland Games: From Friday, May 2, to Sunday, May 4, you can enjoy “the skirl of the pipes, the cheers of encouragement for the athletic events, and the swirling of the Highland Dancers” at Mavericks Stadium.

Deep Ellum Urban Race & Block Party: Think “Amazing Race,” but Deep Ellum-style. This scavenger hunt will lead you around Deep Ellum following clues and solving puzzles about everything from pop-culture to local history. After a day of competition, you’ll be rewarded with cold drinks, music, and games at a killer block party.

Mayfest 2014: Going on until Sunday, May 4, check out live music, art, great food, and a market featuring local artisans at Trinity Park in Fort Worth.

Cottonwood Art Festival: Richardson is hosting the 45th-annual festival at Cottonwood Park on Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4. There will be more than 240 artists, live music from top local bands, and a chance to make art of your own.

Kentucky Derby Day: Head to Lone Star Park on Saturday, May 3, to celebrate the Louisville, KY event in D-FW. There will be live horse races and you can place a bet on the actual Derby while watching it on the big screen. Other Kentucky Derby Day events include Polo on the Lawn at Prestonwood Polo & Country Club, Hats & Horses at Southfork Ranch in Parker, and Lee Park Junior Conservancy’s A Day at the Races at Arlington Hall.

Cinco de Mutto: Saturday, May 3, join dogs and dog lovers at Mutts Canine Cantina for a fiesta celebrating National Pet Month. There will be dog available for adoption, $20 microchipping, pet-friendly games, free Petmate toys, and more.

Cinco de Mayo Events: Click here for an extensive list of the many ways to celebrate Cinco de Mayo all weekend, all over D-FW.

Suburbia Music Festival: In it’s inaugural year, this event will showcase acts like Alabama Shakes, Third Eye Blind, and David Guetta. Multiple acts will take place on three separate stages in Oak Point Park in Plano on Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4.

Dog Bowl: Sunday, May 4, Fair Park welcomes dog lovers and their furry friends to Cotton Bowl Stadium for a day spent at the world’s largest dog park.
