Emmy award-winning comedian Dana Carvey takes the stage April 2 at The Meyerson Symphony Center — and you’re invited. Ebby Halliday Realtors is a proud sponsor of “A Special Evening with Dana Carvey” benefiting LaunchAbility.

Smokey Robinson Plays the Meyerson

Once pronounced by Bob Dylan as America’s “greatest living poet,” acclaimed singer-songwriter Smokey Robinson plays the Meyerson Monday, March 31. Ebby Halliday Realtors is a proud sponsor of A Special Evening with Smokey Robinson benefiting LaunchAbility, which helps children and adults with developmental disabilities achieve their maximum potential and lead fulfilling lives within our community.

 

Born and raised in Detroit, Smokey Robinson founded The Miracles while still in high school. The group’s single of Robinson’s “Shop Around” became Motown’s first  No. 1 hit on the R&B singles chart. In the years following, Robinson penned many hits for the group, including “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me,” “Ooo Baby Baby,” “The Tracks of My Tears,” “Going to a Go-Go,” “More Love,” “Tears of a Clown” (co-written with Stevie Wonder), and “I Second That Emotion.”
