North Texas Luxury Home Market Grows

 

The fall/winter 2018 edition of Grand Vie: Luxury in Living magazine, the luxury-home publication of Ebby Halliday Realtors and Fort Worth-based Williams Trew Real Estate, recently mailed to more than 60,000 luxury homes across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. As the magazine’s market update feature, “Luxury Home Market Spotlight,” points out, the North Texas region’s thriving economy continues to spur growth in luxury home sales.

 

In the past year, 5.9 percent more homes priced at $800,000 and above have been purchased in the region than during the prior 12 months, according to North Texas Real Estate Information Systems, Inc. MLS statistics. Luxury home sales are up 3.6 percent in Dallas County, 12.1 percent in Tarrant County, and down 5.3% in Collin County.

Several key members of the Ebby Halliday Realtors Marketing Department recently attended the 2017 Affluence Forum at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago. The two-day invitation-only event, hosted by Luxury Portfolio International, the luxury marketing arm of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, gathered leaders in home, design and luxury real estate to network, share ideas and gather valuable information from industry experts on current and upcoming trends.

Speakers included Leading Real Estate Companies of the World Chief Economist Marci Rossell, who spoke about the economic factors influencing affluent consumers and former DWELL Media CEO Michela O’Conner Abrams, who provided insight on the power of good design in business. The forum also featured representatives from the home, design and real estate industries to speak about the latest trends in home technology, customization, restoration and wealth management.

 

Forum attendees also enjoyed enrichment opportunities, including visits to the Monogram and Waterworks showrooms in Chicago’s famed Merchandise Mart.
