Ebby Halliday Companies Name Dawn Redmond Sales Leader of 190 – Richardson Office


Dawn Redmond has been named Sales Leader of Ebby Halliday Realtors’ 190 – Richardson Office. Chris Kelly, president and chief executive officer of the Ebby Halliday Companies, and Malinda Howell, senior vice president of brokerage, recently made the announcement.

An Ebby Halliday agent for 16 years, Redmond is a widely respected member of the office she will be overseeing. A leader in the North Texas real estate industry and an involved member of the community, she currently serves on the Ebby Halliday Realtors’ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council and is President of Executive Women International, Dallas.

Redmond earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Master’s of Arts from California State University, Long Beach.

Prior to entering the real estate profession, Redmond had an extensive and diverse professional background that included public relations and marketing.

Jennifer Young Named Sales Leader of Little White House


Jennifer Young is the new sales leader of Ebby Halliday Realtors’ Little White House Office. Young will also continue in her role as sales leader of Ebby’s North Dallas Office. Chris Kelly, president and chief executive officer of the Ebby Halliday Companies, and Malinda Howell, senior vice president of brokerage, recently made the announcement.

“We are thrilled Jennifer has accepted this expanded leadership role and we know she is the right person to lead this iconic Ebby office,” says Kelly.“ She is the ideal person to succeed Betsy Cameron, who has been an incredible leader of the Little White House.” 

Cameron, who has led Ebby’s Little White House since 2019, will continue in her role as vice president of business initiatives for the Ebby Halliday Companies.

Also announced was the appointment of Stacia Price as the Sales Leader in-Development for Ebby’s Little White House and Ebby’s North Dallas Office. Price will work closely with Young to provide coaching and support to sales professionals, along with continuing her sales career.

“We are very excited to welcome Jennifer and Stacia to their new roles, and we are so grateful for Betsy’s leadership,” says Howell.

A graduate of Louisiana State University, Young worked as a registered nurse before becoming a real estate agent in 2014. When she moved to Dallas from Louisiana her Realtor was Mike Harvey. Young says Harvey, with his enthusiasm for real estate, convinced her to become an agent. She joined The Harvey Team in 2014, and when the team moved to Ebby in 2015 she joined them in the North Dallas Office.

“I knew I could learn so much from working with Mike and Pam Harvey,” Young says. “They are so widely admired and respected. Both Mike and Pam have been great mentors and so helpful to me over the years.”

Young says while learning the real estate business from Mike and Pam, she began to notice how much she also enjoys teaching and mentoring.

“I’m a servant leader at heart,” she says. “As a former nurse, I love to take care of people and I get a lot of joy from watching others succeed. I’m excited about growing our Little White House and North Dallas offices to the next level and working with each of our agents on their business plans and helping them achieve their goals.”

Young and her husband, Chris, are the proud parents of four children. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, volunteering in the community and cheering on the LSU Tigers.

25-Year Anniversaries Not Such a Rarity at the Ebby Halliday Companies


In an age when many professionals change jobs often and easily, staying in one place for 25 years is definitely not something you see often.

Yet an incredible 43 people at the Ebby Halliday Companies recently achieved that very milestone. Those 43 – independent contractor agents and office staff from the Ebby Halliday Realtors, Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate and Williams Trew brands – were celebrated Wednesday with a special luncheon at Sixty Vines in Uptown Dallas. Because of a COVID delay, some had already progressed from 25 to 26 and 27 years. 

CEO Chris Kelly, who addressed the honorees and presented each with a diamond pin, said this about the afternoon. 

“It was my absolute pleasure to celebrate these team members who have been part of the Ebby Halliday Companies for 25 years or more. We fully appreciate that this kind of loyalty is not the norm in the real estate industry – especially in today’s climate of plentiful options. We think that makes a loud statement about the culture Ebby built here and that we’ve been working hard to maintain.”   

EHC is big on acknowledging such milestones – internally and externally – along with those around production, personal bests, landmark closings, incentive contests and more. It’s not uncommon to get a video email from Kelly himself, congratulating an agent for a key sale or overcoming a challenge. Vice Presidents Carolyn Rosson and Malinda Howell as well as the company’s 28 Sales Leaders also champion their people any chance they get. The brand is known for being as supportive and encouraging as Ebby Halliday herself was.

Ebby Halliday Realtors Names Hillary Hansen Sales Leader of New Plano West Office


Hillary Hansen has been named Sales Leader of Ebby Halliday Realtors’ Preston Plano Parkway and Plano Willow Bend offices, which will merge in late 2021 to become Ebby’s new Plano West office. Chris Kelly, President and Chief Executive Officer, recently made the announcement.

“A widely admired North Texas real estate industry professional, Hillary brings a thorough understanding of all aspects of real estate, from marketing and lead generation, to coaching agents and teams to reach their full potential,” Kelly says. “She is the ideal person to succeed Curt Kastan, who is returning to working in his family’s business.”

Says Vice President of Brokerage Malinda Howell, “We are so excited to welcome Hillary to her new role with our beautiful new Plano West office, located at the corner of Parker Road and the Dallas North Tollway. Hansen, who has been an Ebby agent for the past nine years, most recently served as the Associate Development Director for the brokerage’s Plano and Allen offices.

Hansen’s passion for real estate and leadership is second only to her family. She and her husband, Dan, a loan officer at Ebby’s McKinney and Denton offices, are the proud parents of a 3-year-old daughter.

In addition to her service to the real estate industry, Hillary is committed to serving the North Texas community. She is a longtime member of the Junior League of Collin County.

Doug Selzer Named Sales Leader of Lakewood | Lake Highlands Office


Doug Selzer has been named Sales Leader of Ebby Halliday Realtors’ Lakewood | Lake Highlands Office. Chris Kelly, president and chief executive officer of the Ebby Halliday Companies, and Malinda Howell, vice president of brokerage, recently made the announcement.

A member of the Ebby Halliday family since 2012, Selzer has served as an agent in the office he will be overseeing. He is an active member of the East Dallas community, has served as the East Dallas MLS Representative for MetroTex Association of Realtors and serves as both a mentor in the Ebby Lakewood | Lake Highlands office as well as an instructor for the Ebby EDGE (Education/Discipline/Growth/Excellence) orientation program. 

“Doug has earned a reputation not only as a top producer along with his wife Elizabeth, but someone that lives our People First mission in the way he treats his clients and other agents,” Kelly says. Prior to real estate, Selzer had an extensive background in senior management and leadership within the banking and financial services sectors. This position, he feels, is a natural extension of his career path.

“I have a long history of sales, customer service and management,” he says. “The best part of every role has been helping people – whether it is helping a client buy or sell a house, or helping a new agent be successful in their real estate career.” 

Asked what he will bring to his new role, Selzer replies, “I am a collaborator. I want to work with new and experienced agents alike to share ideas – processes and procedures – that will make everyone better. I also see our office as a resource for the community. Of course, we want to help people buy or sell a house, but I also see us as being a go-to source of real estate information for those who live and work in the area.”

Selzer is a Certified Negotiation Expert and a Historic Home Specialist, in addition to a ‘D Best’ Real Estate Agent since 2018 and an Advocate ‘Top 25 Realtor’ since 2015. The Ebby Halliday Companies are fortunate to have countless individuals who have been with our firm for many years and each year we take the time to honor those who have reached their 25th Anniversary with Ebby Halliday.

 

Recently, longtime members of the Ebby Halliday family received the 25-Year Pin at a luncheon at Fearing’s at the Ritz-Carlton Dallas honoring their significant contributions to the company. In addition to the honorees, this special event was attended by President and CEO Chris Kelly, Executive Vice President and Director of Sales Offices Betty Misko, Regional Vice Presidents Carolyn Rosson and Malinda Howell, Vice President and Director of Marketing Randall Graham and Chairman Emeritus Mary Frances Burleson.

Ebby Halliday Companies Expands Leadership Structure

 

The Ebby Halliday Companies, the No. 1 residential real estate firm in Texas by sales volume, announced today that the company has expanded its leadership structure to include two regional vice presidents. Carolyn Rosson, sales manager of the Southlake Office, and Malinda Howell, sales manager of the 190 – Richardson Office, have been named regional vice presidents. Rosson and Howell will report to President and CEO Chris Kelly.

 

“Carolyn and Malinda, both respected leaders in the residential real estate industry, will assist and support our sales managers across the North Texas region, as well as our core services, in delivering a remarkable experience to our clients and sales associates,” Kelly said. “Both Malinda and Carolyn have demonstrated exceptional leadership over the years and we are very happy to have them in positions where they can mentor and assist a wider range of sales managers and associates.”

 

Rosson, an industry leader on the local, state and national levels, has created top-producing offices for 25 years by focusing on building a dynamic culture. Rosson began her sales management career in the Las Colinas market and in 2008 became the manager of Ebby’s Southlake Office. She has served on the board of directors of the MetroTex Association of Realtors and as regional vice president of the Texas Association of Realtors. Rosson is Maestro Leadership-certified by Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.

 

Howell began her real estate career with Ebby Halliday in 1998. Also, an industry leader on the local, state and national levels, she possesses a vast knowledge of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and has long served as a mentor to new and experienced real estate agents, as well as new sales managers. Howell is a member of the board of directors of the Texas Association of Realtors and has served as chairwoman of the political action committee for MetroTex Association of Realtors. She is Maestro Leadership-certified by Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.

VIP Excellence in Customer Service Award winners are determined by the total number of points received from questions pertaining specifically to service in buyer/seller surveys sent to Ebby clients. In 2017, 99 percent of respondents ranked Ebby Halliday and their sales associate as “Excellent” or “Good.”
