North Texas is Booming

North Texas is Booming

A brand-new analysis puts the cities of Richardson, McKinney and Frisco among the Top 10 American Boomtowns of 2015.

The rankings come from financial technology company SmartAsset, which looked at four economic factors in the country’s 575 largest cities. Rankings are based equally on the cities’ GPD growth rate, unemployment rate, net migration and housing growth.

Richardson comes in at No. 2, behind Loveland, Colo. McKinney finishes a close third. Frisco ranks No. 7. The Texas cities of Austin and Odessa rank sixth and eighth, respectively. Rounding out the Top 10 are Bend, Oregon; Bismarck, N.D.; Cape Coral, Fla.; and Westminster, Colo.

Ebby Halliday Realtors has long had a strong presence in Richardson, McKinney and Frisco, as well as across the entire North Texas region. For all of your residential real estate needs in North Texas and beyond, visit the award-winning ebby.com.

North Texas Cities Rank High For Working Parents

North Texas Cities Rank High For Working Parents

Plano (No. 2), Garland (No. 6), Arlington (No. 19), and Fort Worth (No. 24) all ranked in The 25 Best Cities For Working Parents by Business Insider.

“Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Plano is home to the corporate headquarters of Dell Services, Toyota Motors, J.C. Penney, and Siemens PLM Software. NerdWallet found that Plano has a high median income, average childcare costs, and high quality public schools.”

Three additional Texas cities, El Paso (No. 7), Laredo (No. 13) and Corpus Christi (No. 23), also made the top 25 list.

“The Southwest snagged a total of eight of the top 10 spots on our list largely because of the relatively low cost of living.”

The rankings, published earlier this morning, are based on affordability (median income and housing costs), childcare costs, school quality, and the community (percentage of households with children) in the 100 largest U.S. cities. Click the link above to learn more.
