North Texas Lakes Offer Welcome Retreats

North Texas Lakes Offer Welcome Retreat

With the arrival of spring, you may be daydreaming about packing up the kids and dog in the car and getting away, maybe not for a long time, but for a long, relaxing weekend.

Lucky for you, the just-released spring edition of Grand Vie: Luxury in Living magazine does more than showcase the luxury listings of Ebby Halliday Realtors and Fort Worth’s Williams Trew Real Estate (the newest Ebby Halliday Company), it also highlights exceptional – and nearby – lake-home opportunities across North Texas.

The properties are part of a special section on lake living by real estate insider Candy Evans. According to Evans, there are about 10 great lakes within a couple hours’ drive of Dallas that can provide an easy weekend retreat.

And, lake homes can often be purchased for a surprisingly modest investment, Evans says. “Agents tell me that it’s still a buyer’s market for most area lakefront property, with the exception of Lake Palestine.”

Among the nearby lakes highlighted in Evans’ article are Cedar Creek Lake, Lake Cypress Springs, Lake Palestine, Lake Kiowa and Possum Kingdom Lake. To get the inside scoop on North Texas lakes and to discover some of the most-extraordinary lake properties and luxury homes currently for sale across North Texas, visit the digital version of the brand-new spring 2015 Grand Vie: Luxury in Living.
