Morgan Murphy Meet-and-Greet: In celebration of his newly released book On the Road Again, food critic Morgan Murphy will be taking a seat at Sissy’s Southern Kitchen for an evening of chatter, cocktails and small bites. For $75, indulge in some of Morgan’s favorite Sissy’s specialties, including kolaches from Village Baking Co. Plus, take home a signed copy of his book. 5-7 p.m. Purchase tickets here.
Celebrity Chef Dinner Series: During this series, Chef John Tesar collaborates with renowned chefs from around the country to cook five consecutive fundraising dinners, benefiting EAT (RED) DRINK (RED) SAVE LIVES. Goats and Grapes Dinner: Duchman Family Winery in Driftwood and Windy Hill Farm in Comanche are pairing up for a five-course dinner at CBD Provisions. Sommelier for a Day: III Forks in Dallas is offering a Sommelier for a Day opportunity the first Wednesday of each month. This opportunity allows guests to help select feature wines for the coming month. Evening in the Shed: Occurring every Thursday evening in the month of June, Dallas Farmer’s Market will host an Evening in the Shed. Guests will get to shop the market for everything local, including arts and crafts, fresh produce and artisan food. Beer, wine and live music will also be in attendance. Pups on the Patio: Lone Star Rescue will be hosting a benefit at Cane Rosso in Fairview, featuring raffles, pizza specials and more. All proceeds will benefit Lone Star Rescue. 6-9 p.m.

Kid’s Cooking Class: Maggiano’s Little Italy at NorthPark is hosting a cooking class for kids! Participants will have the chance to create some of Maggiano’s favorite dishes to take home. Ice Cream Social: Dallas Farmer’s Market plays host to the 9th annual Mama Ida’s Ice Cream Social. Local vendors will provide condiments for Dallas County Youth Village culinary students to conjure up a variety of ice cream, gelato and sorbet creations. Purchase a tasting spoon for $5 and sample the sweet stuff, then vote for your favorite! 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Dallas’ Off-Site Kitchen is closing its original location this week. The beloved burger joint near the Design District is relocating to Trinity Groves, close to the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. The last day to grab your favorite burger before the one-week pause is this Saturday, June 6. The new location is slated to open June 16.
Jefferson Tower in Oak Cliff now houses Carnival Barker’s Ice Cream Factory, a small company that will serve several rotating flavors of ice cream and a variety of ice cream sandwiches 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Texas Tapas, a brand new tapas restaurant, is now open in Deep Ellum. The menu features American-style share plates with a Texas twist, including chicken and waffles and fried ribeye with gravy and eggs.
