Dallas-Fort Worth Housing Market Sizzling Hot

Dallas-Fort Worth Housing Market Sizzles

Wow, it sure did get hot fast this year! Summer has barely unfurled, but the North Texas residential real estate market is already delivering blistering sales in June. In Dallas-Fort Worth, homes are moving off the market 13.6 percent faster than they did at this time last year as prices continue to hit new record highs.

The average home sales price in North Texas in May was $286,200, 6.3% higher than one year ago. However, much of the effect of higher prices is being offset by mortgage rates that are the lowest we’ve seen in three years.

Our People are the Difference

Our People are the Difference

Many things make Ebby Halliday Realtors unique in North Texas – a legacy of sincere service to the community for more than 70 years, the first MLS transaction, and more than $7.85 billion in real estate transactions in the past year – but what really makes the company special is its people.

“Ebby always said she was able to achieve what she was able to because she was blessed with a great team,” says President & CEO Mary Frances Burleson. “We care for each other and we care for our clients. This more than anything is what makes this company stand head and shoulders above everyone else in the industry.”

Ebby Halliday Realtors is a reflection of Ebby herself, an extraordinary leader who inspired thousands of people with her simple approach of “Do Something for Someone Every Day.” And, as the company has grown, it has attracted many like-minded individuals who have played major roles in enriching its reputation for empathetic, knowledgeable and hardworking sales associates and employees.

“We’re a company, a corporation, but we’re hardly faceless,” Burleson says. “We’re made up of real people, with big hearts and keen minds – people who care about serving other people. We are quick to listen and slow to speak. We are given to taking on our clients’ problems as if they’re our own. And we’re determined to always do right by them.”

Plano No. 1 in America for Jobs

Plano No. 1 in America for Jobs

Already the corporate home to Pizza Hut, Frito-Lay and J.C. Penney — and soon-to-be home to Toyota of North America — Plano shows no signs of slowing down.

WalletHub just released its annual ranking of the best and worst cities to find a job in 2016 and Plano was crowned the best city in the country for job searchers.

In order to assess the strength of local job markets, WalletHub compared 150 of the most populated U.S. cities across 17 key metrics, ranging from job opportunities to employment growth.

After Plano’s top spot in the report, Irving landed at No. 4, Dallas at No. 24, Garland at No. 29, Grand Prairie at No. 32, Arlington at No. 41 and Fort Worth at No. 45.

Overall 16 Dallas-Fort Worth cities made the list.

Service to the Community

Post

Giving back to the community is a founding principle of Ebby Halliday Realtors so we’re happy to report that our Preston Plano Parkway Office and Texas Premier Title, an Ebby Halliday affiliated company, recently raised $1,216 for the Women’s Auxiliary of Children’s Medical Center Plano. The money was raised through a raffle at the offices’ annual, fun-filled Mistletoe Market featuring unique gifts, exquisite jewelry, gourmet hot cocoa, food, holiday music and more. The offices chose Children’s because Preston Plano Parkway Associate Sarah Fallin is an active member of the hospital’s Women’s Auxiliary.

Children’s Medical Center Plano extends the world-class service of the Children’sHealth system to the growing number of families north of Dallas and beyond. Its medical staff includes specialists from UT Southwestern, providing a vast base of talent and knowledge. Located at 7601 Preston Road in Plano, the campus sits on a 155-acre site with green space preserved to provide an environment of healing and tranquility for patients and families.
