Grand Vie Showcases Luxury Living

Grand Vie Showcases Luxury Living

In addition to featuring some of Dallas-Fort Worth’s premier luxury properties, the summer edition of Grand Vie: Luxury in Living magazine offers a plethora of interesting editorial content, including recipes and grilling tips from local celebrity chefs Tim Byres of Smoke and Jon Bonnell of Bonnell’s Fine Texas Cuisine and Waters I Bonnell’s Coastal Cuisine; a spotlight on the North Texas luxury market; special sections for lake properties and farm & ranch properties; and real estate insider Candy Evans’ take on the vacation-home paradise that is Cape Cod.

Grand Vienow in its 17th edition, is the luxury-home publication of Ebby Halliday Realtors and the newest member of the Ebby Halliday Companies, Fort Worth-based Williams Trew Real Estate. The perfect-bound publication is direct-mailed to approximately 50,000 high-net-worth households in Dallas, Collin, Rockwall and Tarrant counties. Charity and event placement is also a significant part of the Grand Vie distribution strategy – placing luxury homes listed by Ebby Halliday and Williams Trew in front of North Texas’ luxury homebuying audience.

Not only has our magazine’s distribution grown significantly across the Metroplex, it also includes some of the very best luxury real estate companies outside of our local market, in such locations as Beverly Hills/LA, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Miami, Palm Beach, Newport Beach, Santa Barbara and Vail.

Spring is Here!

Spring is Here!

It’s the first day of spring, and if you haven’t done so already, now is definitely the time to give your yard the respect it deserves. As homeowners everywhere know, nothing can bring you down from the weather high that March brings quite like a backyard that’s still caught in winter.

In the brand-new spring 2015 edition of Grand Vie: Luxury in Living magazine, the only luxury-home publication to bring you the very best of Dallas and Fort Worth, we chatted with two renowned local landscape architects, Harold Leidner and Angelynn Harvey, about their top tips for getting your yard ready for the season.

Grand Vie: Yard trends change just like home décor trends. What’s a new fad you are seeing in residential yards this year?

Harold Leidner: A more modern style and feel. We have always
loved a more modern style, but clients traditionally are more reserved in the style of homes they build, which often dictates the surrounding gardens. Thankfully, more modern architecture in the market means our clients are receptive to a cleaner and more sophisticated design style.

GV: What is the most extreme thing a client has asked you to do?

HL: We had a great client who asked us to create a movie projection water screen as a part of his pool design. This way he could sit in his pool and watch a movie projected on a sheet of water. It started as a wild idea but we turned it into reality. The result was amazing.
